Just made a second visit to the museum after several years. It was wonderfully eclectic and a bit eccentric before. Now they've moved stuff around and changed their priorities, for the better. It's more coherent and it flows nicely. More content from other notable people in the area is added. They added more focus on younger visitors. There's QR codes you can scan all over the place for supporting information. To do this in the same space required that some legacy exhibits downsize, but other important existing exhibits were expanded. Overall a masterful redo. And still a touch of quirky to make it all fun. Only six bucks a head for grown-ups and well worth it. Accessibility is also much improved. Lots of places to stop and rest for a visitor with a cane and there is a wheelchair on loan. Adequately wide aisles. And yes, awesome onsite raspberry jam. The stuff made by their Trappist cohorts is good too. We got the cherry preserves and they are right tasty. No visit to the Camas Prairie is complete without a stop. Nicely done folks. read more

My Grandfather was a Pentecostal Reverend but I would have to say I have never really considered myself a religious person. On my birthday it was chilly and there were many restrictions on where we could wander on the property (because of covid) but I loved the museum (I'm a sucker for rock collections) and the jam I purchased that was made by the Sisters is THE BEST JAM I HAVE EVER HAD EVER. St Gertrude's Monastery - The in is super comfy and cute . - Bed & Breakfast Near Me - Cottonwood, Idaho

I am only here writing this review because I feel I have been spared from the lightning bolts which were trying to descend upon me as I entered this holy place. Just kidding. I've visited the monastery to check it out because quite frankly I wanted to see what kinds of objects that nuns would have in their museum. I was very thrilled they have a lot of really cool stuff no I'm not telling you what it is go see it for yourself. The grounds are drop dead gorgeous With a lot of flowers. You can walk inside of just about every space it is so spectacular. The architecture is very juicy.There is a little gift shop where I got some raspberry jam. Best damn jam I ever ate. read more

Lovely, peaceful place. Located in a separate building, the Inn is outstanding (only 4 rooms, breakfast included). The sisters and staff are welcoming and helpful, including providing area restaurant suggestions. We chose to have breakfast in the monastery (as opposed to the breakfast room at the Inn), obtaining our food in the cafeteria type dining room and eating in a separate room provided for those guests who prefer not to follow the monastery's vow of silence during specific hours.
