My husband and I visited St. Innocent last summer and unfortunately, we experienced an unfriendly and unwelcoming experience. The server ignored us as he was occupied visiting and serving the only other couple in the room who also happened to be members. When the server confirmed we were not members, our service became worse. He basically told us that only members get a new glass to drink from when the wine tastes change from white to red wines. The server's snubness to us was so obvious even the couple who were members realized it and the woman whispered to me that the server is not known for friendliness. My step mother ownes a small wine store and while on vacation i asked here where i should go in OR wine country. This was the suggestion she gave me. We planned on buying serveral bottles of wine after a tasting. The winery ground where very nice. The new tasting room was nice and well light s well. My problem is that they had 2 people tasting and one said they would be with us in a second. It was not busy at all. 2 small groups and us. I watched the others get taken care of for 10 minutes. A total of 8 people where in the tasting room with us. We waited a bit longer with no offer of help, I was quit frustrated because the second group was not ready for tasting. The first goup was buying a case of wine. I watched the gentlemen cleared and wipe the counter in front of me and then did not offer a tasting flight or to help us after we had been waiting for for some time. After not being helped we left. I planned on spending a 100 bucks or so after the tasting, but based on the lack of any service i will never buy there wine or tell anyone to come here. We hit several wineries on our visit and every time where given excellent service at all of the others. read more

The Pinot's were ok. The Pinot Blanc was pretty good. But what I was SUPER EXCITED about was the White Pinot Noir! That particular wine is my ideal situation! I left happy! read more

Been there several times before lovely property. Took friends who are wine enthusiasts with us to be very disappointed. The wine tasting glasses were all spotted and film coated. Just not an over all great experience on that day. We visited St. Innocent on a crazy hot summer day, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a bottle outside once we finished our tastings. They offer several tasting options (one that includes a food pairing too), but the four of us opted for the side-by-side comparison flights of their different pinot noir vintages. The 2013 vintage of all of the wines were our favorite. But as a perk, when our boyfriends went outside to grab our picnic stuff, our wonderful server (Silvia) gave my girlfriend and I two extra pours (of their chardonnay and another white wine). Overall, their wines were great but definitely are best with food (we thought). Very complex flavors in some of the 2014 pinot noirs. read more

The wine here was very good and the people were very friendly. I would like to go back try some of the snacks they have. The only downside to this place is the $15 tasting fee which isn't waved unless you buy two bottles of wine. Very pretty tasting room. read more

This tasting room is very charming and was a nice stop on a little wine tasting date we were on. They are building a new tasting room that is about to open but we went into their original one which is a log cabin style house. It's cozy on the inside with a little patio outside. The service was really nice but the prices were a little steep. $15 for a tasting was fine but I didn't understand why it jumps to $20 a person for a group considering you are bringing in more business. Either way, we learned about the time and care they take in their business but for $15 per glass of wine I didn't find myself loving the wines enough to spend so much for one glass especially when the tasting pours were so small. I did like the small touch of a piece of cheese for the last tasting. They said they will eventually have some bites to pair with once they move up to their new tasting room (we had seen that they offer this on their website and were sad it wasn't available). Overall it was a nice experience but it probably won't be my first choice when wine tasting again. read more

Customer service and wine are excellent from St. Innocent Winery. I am located in California and was able to try one of their wines at a local restaurant. I liked it so much that I decided to order some for our incoming company who loves wine (as well as myself). They care about the quality of their wine so much that they will not do a slow shipping method because they do not want it to bake on a truck. I did not take into full consideration the hot travel weather from Oregon to California and I did not realize my error until about two weeks later. I called the folks at St. Innocent Winery, who went above and beyond and helped me to get the wine on time for my company. The wine arrived just in time and everyone loved it. Thank you! read more

This is one of the places I came to Oregon. I had been recommended to come here by 4 different wine friends. They are located in the southern part of the valley. It is beautiful there and the wines have a different taste because of the soil type and the climate. You can taste the "soil" in the wines which are exquisite. read more

These are the "safest" wines I ever had. It is like the Switzerland of wines. They are very well balanced but so subtle as if not to offend anyone. They don't have any strong opinions, or convey any messages. In other words they have no soul!!! I would definitely give a bottle to the person that claims they hate red wine, because I am sure they will love any of these wines. I can't say I don't like them, or can't say that I absolutely love them, but I would definitely not refuse a glass. read more

Visiting wineries in the area with friends on 1/25/2015. Beautiful winery, but as soon as you walk in the tasting room we felt like we were disturbing the two employees who were there. The man who helped us was very unengaged with us and we felt like were bothering him. Never once did we get smile out of him. We did decide to taste the wines, which the wines were very good. But when you pay $10.00 and $15.00 for tastings, you do expect a good pour on each wine. Unfortunately we will not be coming back, there are too many wineries in Oregon that greatly appreciate your business and company. read more

I love this log cabin tasting room! The gentleman who served us, Adam, (who was wearing the cutest green bow tie) had a lot of great information about all of their products. I bought a bottle of the Rosé, as did my friend, and the two glasses I had got me a lot more tipsy than I would have imagined, which wasn't a bad thing. Tucked into a beautiful location in Willamette Valley wine country, St. Innocent was such a pleasant surprise! The woman who helped us with our tastings (sorry, can't remember her name but she had red hair) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She chatted with us about the wine, the location, and other stuff. I just don't agree with other reviews that tasting room staff was "stuck up". I found them to be laid back but professional and kind! I continued my quest to take advantage of Alaska Airlines' promotion that Oregon wines were flying for free, and bought a Cuvee and a Pinot Noir for special occasions. The Cuvee during tasting was amazing and I can't wait to have a reason to open mine! read more

I really enjoyed my time here. They have an amiable staff-Adam was well informed and genuinely interested in all of his customers, who he handled with ease. Their wine club manager came out to do a tasting for members. It was nice to see such personal attention. I loved their tasting concept of pairing the wines with food, and it was a steal at $20. No vegetarian option was available, which is a shame. This is Oregon, after all. There's enough hippy vegetarians to make this accommodation. read more

If you are looking for a place to taste in the Eola-Amity AVA, this is a great place to stop by. Winery has a great cross section of Pinots. With in a short drive are several other quality wineries. I have not attended an event, but they have a great indoor space for large events and plenty of parking. read more

This new location is coming along nicely and will be beautiful when complete. We showed up as the first customers in the new tasting room that morning and they certainly weren't ready. Coming from the east coast, we specifically chose to visit this winery and received a less than enthusiastic welcome. Was grateful they had the regular tastings available as most wineries this weekend were doing only Memorial Day specials paired with food. The overall tasting experience was less than spectacular and I wouldn't write home about it. That said, the owner came in and we had a chance to meet him. It was so refreshing to see how he was personally involved in the creation of the new location - he was coming in from laying stonework and creating gardens. His wife was lovely and very helpful in offering other winery recommendations to visit. Overall, the experience could have been better. Despite this, I am a huge fan of this winery's Pinot Noirs and became a member. I just hope that they can work out some of the kinks so others can have a better experience and introduction to the winery and appreciate the wines they produce. read more

We are originally from an area outside Napa/Sonoma and love their hearty Cabernets. We've had a hard time finding Pinots that we love, but finally found some great wine here. I highly recommend. The winery is very pretty and the staff are friendly. You can't go wrong with St. Innocent! read more

Like the actual tasting room. Couldn't sit outside due to the wasp and yellow jacket situation. Seems that businesses aren't taking it seriously with getting the queen or finding the nests. So,,,, this winery has great wine,,,, no doubt about it. When they first located just down from Wilamette Valley Vineyards I was excited to have another winery to go to, I immediately joined their wine club. Subsequentialy, I would stop in to do wine tasting and buy a bottle or two,, and they always charged me for my tasting which I thought was odd since I was a club member,, also,, I almost never visited without buying a bottle or two. So today I was excited because their new tasting room was opening. We hooked up with another couple,, also club memebers thanks to my introduction,, to visit the new tasting room and share a bottle of wine. We were told the it was a, "Special event only" and that our level of membership did not allow us to taste in the new new room yet, it was early,, almost no one their and yet we ran into this,,, And we were Club members. Really??? Sorry,, but I am pissed. Do these guys think this is the only winery within a rocks throw of the area?? Good wine,,, but do not expect to have a great experience at the winery. I am cancelling my wine club membership. I have too much fun with winery's 5 minutes away. read more

St Innocent Winery has been my favorite winery for years. Their wine is consistently outstanding and the winery is in a beautiful setting. Worth the drive down from Portland and it's a great place to take out-of-state visitors who are new to Oregon wine. I highly recommend coming here! read more
