My girls are absolute ambassadors of OKS, as I see the totality of what Oak Knoll offers, in them. The teachers and faculty are like family, the care they exude is ever so natural and nurturing. Don't get me started on the academics. In the lower school, the classes are interwoven. I was actually intrigued to learn that in the sixth grade for instance, as the origin of the golden ratio was being taught in math class, the students were also being shown how it was applied to the Mona Lisa painting in their Arts class, it's application in the Renaissance era in Social Studies, and there was reference to the concept in Science, and even in the library classes. My sixth grader was absolutely fascinated relating her experience. As for the nurturing environment, you can sense the importance of core values in the school, it only takes one visit to feel it in the air. The students are also exposed to practical religious tenets, helping those in need, etc. I honestly cannot say enough about Oak Knoll. I wrote this review specifically to go against Allan, Menan, and Celito. There are many topics to…read morecover including sexual abuse, toxic environment, kids cheating their way with money, faculty destroying student self worth, and it just being an overall terrible school. First I would like to cover sexual abuse. Going to Allan's example of sexual assault with Anthony du Bourg, he stated that Anthony was a teacher in the 60s and walked "through the locker room when we were undressed." In other words Mr. Anthony walked through the locker room in the 60s when Allan was changing. That means if Allan in 2017 would be pretty old. Not only this, but all of the other examples given by other reviews happened every 20 years and have no solid evidence. These reviews also state that there are better schools in the area, Newark Academy, Delbarton, Kent Place, and so much more have terrible incidents that are far worse than Pingry's. These claims have a high chance of not being true and there is no school in the world that has no creepos lingering. Considering that there are only 3 alleged assaulters for a school history of almost 200 years is really amazing. Now I would like to talk about the supposed toxic environment. Anywhere you go in life there will always be toxic people. I believe that Menan is just a parent who had a kid hang around the wrong crowd. The Pingry School also has amazing staff and faculty that can support anyone at anytime. Compared to other private schools and public schools Pingry is nowhere near as toxic. According to Allan people were racist and really toxic, the 1960s was a really long time ago and the world was really different. I understand that numerous students agree with me and love their school. For kids cheating their way with money, this is completely untrue. I have been at Pingry for a very long time and I can't tell you how many kids have been expelled for vaping, doing drugs, sexual assault, racism, and more vile actions. Pingry is extremely strict with this and the honor code is not used as a weapon, but more as a guideline. There are kids that got expelled immediately with billionaires for parents and have not been on school grounds since. Faculty destroying student self worth is the topic I disagree with the most. There are so many trusted adults in the school and for the reviews saying that they suck probably got failed and just trying to throw dirt. The teachers are very uplifting and help the students non-stop. Teachers also might favor students, but thats alright because whatever school you go to that might happen and it is not all the teachers at Pingry that do that. Pingry is an amazing school and If it was so terrible then why is it the third best school in NJ on Niche? I am not sure what these clowns are thinking putting these reviews, but is a Saturday night and this took like 20 minutes. Guaranteed all of these clowns are either Pingry rejects or got expelled. I also believe at least one of these reviews are a middle schooler thinking that they are funny, but in reality they just have nothing better to do. PS. Jump has immediately offered just that. She is welcomed with joy and enthusiasm every single day and I've never once questioned whether my daughter is in good hands or not. I sent my two daughters to this school. They were in pre-school 2.5 and 3. The first thing that…read moremade me feel something was wrong was the abnormally high teacher turnover (7 different teachers in less than a year). Granted this was during COVID but none of the other schools had such a high turnover. It was also messy, disorganized and their communication was horrible. I think could have lived with all that. However, my 3 year old came home with a black eye one day. She told me that "Ms Yin Li kicked her in the face with her foot because she was angry that she would not fall asleep during nap time". When I called the school the next day to ask what happened, the principal, owner and other staff, tried to give me 100 theories as to what could have happened to her (she must have bumped herself against the cot, she probably hit herself against the bench because kids fight for the red bench, it happened outside of school, etc) instead of focusing on what my child was saying, that the teacher kicked her because she wouldn't nap. I tried to have the school press charges against Yin Li, but she also had already resigned and they told me it was "too late" (maybe 5 weeks had passed since the incident) so I decided to file a complaint with the state's Department of Children and Families (which came back inconclusive but at least I reported and recorded the incident). Please don't send your kids to this place, there are other much better schools in the area. I met up with one of the parents a few weeks ago and about 80% of the kids moved on to other schools as well.

The costumes alone were exquisite and Judging from the logjam of six figure German SUVs lining the parking lot I immediately stopped wondering where such funding could have possibly come from. Considering my own public high school production of M*A*S*H featured Army Surplus Store remnants for costumes and props I shudder to think what Wardlaw's prom may look like... Maybe Justin Timberlake and Beyonce performing live on a levitating platform of pure platinum. Like the bumper sticker says... My other car is a Ferrari. Times they sure have changed. A great show.

My son has been enrolled in W+H since early childhood. These past 5 years have just flown by…read morewatching him thrive and grow. He's challenged, he's nurtured and he's given the tools to succeed. I've watched him accomplish projects with such determination and grit and I've seen him cheer his classmates with the same joy and sense of pride in them. The teachers are simply amazing...I've had the joy of connecting and maintaining strong relationships. They foster so much global awareness and inclusivity. My son has learned about so many different cultures and foods. When I am on campus...I feel like I am home. Sending my two boys to Saint Francis Academy was one of my best choices I ever made for my kids…read more My kids started from Pre-K 3 and Pre- K 4 and from day one, the principal, teachers and staff treated my sons with patient and love--always encouraging, and genuinely invested in their growth. The academic program is outstanding. Both of myboys earned scholarships to top Catholic high schools!, but what makes SFA special is how they balance learning with heart. The community here is warm and tight-knit. Kids aren't just taught math or reading, they're taught kindness, respect, love, compassion and how to be good people. My sons thrived in this environment, making good friends and teachers who felt like mentors. And the parents from the school are always nice and helping each other to look after each other's kids. Most importantly, SFA prepared them brilliantly for high school. The transition was seamless, and their scholarships are proof of how well the school equips kids academically and emotionally. They walked into high school confident, organized, and ready to lead--all thanks to SFA's foundation. If you want a school that cares as much about your child's character as their grades, this is it.
