I wrote this review specifically to go against Allan, Menan, and Celito. There are many topics to…read morecover including sexual abuse, toxic environment, kids cheating their way with money, faculty destroying student self worth, and it just being an overall terrible school. First I would like to cover sexual abuse. Going to Allan's example of sexual assault with Anthony du Bourg, he stated that Anthony was a teacher in the 60s and walked "through the locker room when we were undressed." In other words Mr. Anthony walked through the locker room in the 60s when Allan was changing. That means if Allan in 2017 would be pretty old. Not only this, but all of the other examples given by other reviews happened every 20 years and have no solid evidence. These reviews also state that there are better schools in the area, Newark Academy, Delbarton, Kent Place, and so much more have terrible incidents that are far worse than Pingry's. These claims have a high chance of not being true and there is no school in the world that has no creepos lingering. Considering that there are only 3 alleged assaulters for a school history of almost 200 years is really amazing. Now I would like to talk about the supposed toxic environment. Anywhere you go in life there will always be toxic people. I believe that Menan is just a parent who had a kid hang around the wrong crowd. The Pingry School also has amazing staff and faculty that can support anyone at anytime. Compared to other private schools and public schools Pingry is nowhere near as toxic. According to Allan people were racist and really toxic, the 1960s was a really long time ago and the world was really different. I understand that numerous students agree with me and love their school. For kids cheating their way with money, this is completely untrue. I have been at Pingry for a very long time and I can't tell you how many kids have been expelled for vaping, doing drugs, sexual assault, racism, and more vile actions. Pingry is extremely strict with this and the honor code is not used as a weapon, but more as a guideline. There are kids that got expelled immediately with billionaires for parents and have not been on school grounds since. Faculty destroying student self worth is the topic I disagree with the most. There are so many trusted adults in the school and for the reviews saying that they suck probably got failed and just trying to throw dirt. The teachers are very uplifting and help the students non-stop. Teachers also might favor students, but thats alright because whatever school you go to that might happen and it is not all the teachers at Pingry that do that. Pingry is an amazing school and If it was so terrible then why is it the third best school in NJ on Niche? I am not sure what these clowns are thinking putting these reviews, but is a Saturday night and this took like 20 minutes. Guaranteed all of these clowns are either Pingry rejects or got expelled. I also believe at least one of these reviews are a middle schooler thinking that they are funny, but in reality they just have nothing better to do. PS. All the teachers at the center are so warm and friendly and even know both our children by name. The kids loveee going to school and love all their teachers, friends and the environment. I feel like both our kids have shown significant progress developmentally. I love that they provide programs for meals. It saves me so much time and money when I don't have to spend time to prep meals for school. I recommend this center to any families looking for good quality care for their children! Coming from a family who had a baby born during these crazy COVID times, you can imagine how…read morestressed as first time parents we were when it came to placing our daughter in daycare. Whippany KinderCare has turned out to be one of the biggest blessings for our family for so many reasons. One of the things we are so impressed by and pleased with is how much the director (Chelsea) and assistant director (Leah) are involved with all the kids. If we ever have a question, they always are aware of how our daughter is doing because they keep tabs with her teacher on the regular and can answer anything with confidence. Seeing how our daughter was progressing, it was suggested that we move her up a class. We were a little nervous to do this six weeks early but with their support and after being offered to do a trial day, to our surprise everything went amazingly well! Our daughter is learning so much and we already see such an improvement in her language development (both sign and vocal) and other skills like how to use utensils and not throw food at the table. It truly is such a joy to see how much she is growing here. As a parent, you obviously want nothing but the best care for your kid and we have no doubt we made the right decision with Whippany KinderCare. Especially during the pandemic, knowing that the center has been taking every reasonable precaution (temperature checks at the door, constant sanitizing of the school, the use of masks for teachers and children, no outside toys, etc.) further gives us peace of mind that our daughter is in safe hands. We really couldn't be happier and feel so grateful to have found this center and appreciate so much how much love and care all the teachers and staff give towards our daughter.

Our kids have thrived academically and enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities. Both areas that we found lacking in public school where we felt that the teachers really did not know our kids. We've been particularly impressed with the middle school teachers and the overall middle school experience. The strong academic focus and supportive environment have been invaluable. We feel similarly about the elementary school, which also provides an excellent foundation. The after-school programs, including Cross Country, Drama Club, Outdoor Living Skills Club, and Cooking Club, have also been exceptional. The teachers and staff leading these activities have been wonderful role models and have created a sense of community outside the classroom.

She absolutely thrives there and doesn't want to be anywhere else. They have been so great to work with! Some things that we love about MCDS are the academic rigor, the school/life flexibility, and the nurturing environment. First, you will find at MCDS that they are usually one year ahead of the public school system. But on top of this, they also place the students according to their needs. So, if they need to be challenged more, they will move them up to something more advanced. Likewise, if the student needs more help in a subject, MCDS will make sure the student gets the individual attention they need to succeed. This is so much better than the public school system where every child has to fit the same mold. We also have an older son who has always been in the public school system. We clearly notice a difference in how MCDS sets their students up for success while the public school tends to not cater to the individual needs. Either the student is advanced or they are not, there is no in between and it is really difficult to move up. Second, the faculty and administration at MCDS are always willing to work with us to ensure our daughter has what she needs. If we need to take a trip during school or she is sick from school, they have always been good to work with us, to ensure that our daughter has what she needs and gives her the flexibility to make up work. They have also been very open to feedback about how to improve or what programs that we would like to see added. They work very hard to see how they can accommodate these requests. Lastly, we really appreciate the nurturing environment they create at MCDS. My daughter is so happy there, we couldn't imagine sending her anywhere else. She is growing to be a confident, smart and caring person and we have to say a lot of that is due to her time at MCDS. The teachers really get to know the students and take the time to be a part of their lives helping them grow into well-rounded individuals whether it is joking with them at lunch, helping with pancake breakfast or teaching one of the clubs. They teach the children to respect one another as well as the teachers at a very early age. The older students participate in a peer leader program where they work with the younger children to help them grow and learn. Not only is this a great program to teach the older students leadership skills and responsibility, but it helps provide a good example for the younger ones on how to behave and treat others. While MCDS is a small school, they are able to offer a nice variety of extracurricular activities for the students at all grade levels. They offer activities like track, soccer, cooking club, outdoor survival skills, drama, and yearbook. The kids really love all of these and it gives them something else to look forward to at school. It helps to build the camaraderie between the students regardless of age and they really support each other. As a parent, we are very grateful for our daughter to have this wonderful experience. Mendham Country Day School has become a part of our family and we couldn't imagine sending our daughter anywhere else.

NEW I have my child…read morecurrently enrolled at Kiddie Academy. This experience is current; it happened just today, August 31, 2023. I haven't had the opportunity to see how the school will handle as the director and assistant director were already gone for the day but I have had the opportunity to see what is considered qualified as it relates to the teaching staff. So basically my little baby was left in a highchair for well over an hour and a half. He wasn't being fed but just locked and trapped inside of it for what could only be assumed was to be kept out of the way so he wouldn't be an inconvenience to the leader of this classroom (Ms. Trinity) that continued to walk passed him cleaning and handling the other babies as if he simply wasn't there. Kiddie Academy does provide video but they do not provide sound to the video so I could see my son crying and wriggling around in discomfort but i couldn't hear if she was saying anything to him. Once I realized how long he had been sitting there and I could see his discomfort I jumped in my car and headed there (I wanted to more so see them organically than call ahead). Just before I arrived Ms. Mary, the teacher my son is drawn to and who I believe was not before in the room (there was someone else in the room, sitting out of view and while I'm not 100% sure I don't think it was her) removed him from the chair and began changing his clothes. When I arrived I was told that he was spitting out his food so it got all over him. Ok...so he was being a baby (not even yet 1) and was left in his wet dirty clothes for what seemed like almost 2 hours to me (I was on my computer and would check in on camera occasionally). When I confronted Ms. Trinity she said when the babies do something like that she usually let's them sit for 5 minutes. 5 WHAT??? He had been sitting there and sitting there and sitting there and NO ONE checked on him or helped him. This does not end here and I hope that Kiddie Academy regains my trust I will additionally say, in roughly the 3 months that my son has been attending this school, that after his adjustment period of getting used to this new situation every time I put him in Ms. Trinity's arms he screams his head off. When I put him in the assistant teachers arms Ms. Mary (the person to me that seems to have a true natural ability with these babies and who should, if anyone be the head teacher) he is completely quiet and at peace (I've even mentioned to Ms. Mary that I noticed that he flocks to her - she remembers I'm sure). When I expressed my concern to Ms. Trinity over the time she left my son in that highchair she simply said, "well I don't keep track". These people log every meal, every diaper change and poop, take pictures from the day and let me know if he napped. I call bullsh*t! To the Director, Ms. Issa and Assistant Director, Ms. Aisha (and the Owner, if you get a moment to read this) I wish you a wonderful labor day weekend and I will be looking forward to speaking with you next Tuesday morning on the above matter and how hopefully you can ensure nothing of its kind ever happens again to my child or to anyone elses.
