I had been looking for one of these barn style sliding doors and decided to check out a store in…read moreToronto. The owner there said that he could make me a barn door but he fought with me on the colour I wanted to stain the door and the design that I wanted was apparently "not something" he does. I looked online and there was a company out of Utah that I was going to go with, but I couldn't justify waiting for over a month and paying large fees to ship the door and hardware to me, and since their customer service was terrible I didn't really want to give them my money anyway. Then a friend told me about Loft Doors, some place in Burlington that specializes in barn style doors. I went into their showroom and was greeted when I walked in and they let me walk around and ask questions when I actually had some. They had quite a few styles of doors hanging in their showroom, as well as tables, benches, consoles and fireplace mantels that they had made from old reclaimed wood. I showed the guy behind the desk the picture of the door I wanted which I found on pinterest and he said they could build it no problem. I mentioned that I wanted the door to match the cabinets in the kitchen since it would be hanging just outside of it and he requested a sample of the finish to they could match the stain for me. Needless to say the process turned out to be much simpler than I had thought it was going to be because of my previous experiences looking for a door. I picked out my hardware which is all custom made in the same city and when I went to pick up the door it was exactly what I wanted and matched the one I found online perfectly, even the hardware matched. The door looks great hanging in my home and I get comments all the time when people came over. I've even sent some of my friends to Loft Doors to get stuff done they have different style doors for different price points which is great because one of my friends really wanted a door but thought they couldn't because they are too much. Turns out they got a door made and even got the hardware and paid just under $800 for both, and they got to pick the stain colour of their door. The service is great because at no time did I feel like they were telling me how my door had to be or whether I should even be staining the barnboard any particular colour. They supplied helpful advice, warned me of potential issues had I have chosen a different option for my door and they sent me a video for me to install the door myself which was actually pretty easy (took me about 3 hours to install it, but was overall a pretty easy process). I am very happy I found this place because the quality of the door and hardware are better than places I've seen around Toronto, the service was great and they always answered any of the emails I sent pretty fast and it only took me two and a half weeks to get my door and hardware. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in need of getting anything reclaimed.

Highly recommended. Our closet in the principal bedroom collapsed just before the Christmas…read moreholidays. It was originally made of wired shelving which as not supported well. Upon requesting an initial quote with Closet Envy (Waterdown location), they phoned the very next day to arrange for Melissa, their closet designer to visit. She assessed our needs, took measurements of the closet, and came up with a visual of what the closet would look like to maximize space. She also shared the quote - all within the same visit. The quote was sent for review and written approval, and they quickly made arrangements for installation right after the New Year. The price was very reasonable for a custom design. The service technician re-measured and cut the shelving outside in his truck and installed the closet in a few hours. The closet was not a perfect rectangle, so he was able to adjust his measurements accordingly. He took off his shoes in the house, and cleaned up after. The shelves are sturdy, have metal holders and are well built. Overall, we are happy with the product and service and would highly recommend Closet Envy.
