I was just in the midst of changing insurance when I was scheduling my first appointment. They said they wanted to see me at exactly 9 weeks to do important blood work/ check on things. I asked if we could delay by a few days by which time my new insurance would be in place and I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. They put pressure on me and told me timing was very important so I caved. They're the experts, right? I later got a bill for over $650. What couldn't wait? A standard blood panel and a tox screen. Red flag #1, I just didn't have the bill yet. My very first appointment I saw one of the doctors and then had a one on one with the head nurse. She asked a lot of questions and I was 100% honest with her. Why wouldn't I be? I told her I was on Wellbutrin and she started lecturing and shaming me so intensely I quit cold turkey. She asked about any history of drug use and I was transparent about using marijuana in the past, before my IVF journey. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW: Evidentially any admission of drug use at any time in your life allows them, without informing you or receiving your consent, to continue drug testing you throughout your pregnancy. Just an extra charge, right? All the visits were pleasant with the doctors. I remember my last appointment before my C-section was primarily me finding out what everyone's favorite foods were so I could cater a thank you lunch and everyone wished me well. I gave birth not long after. Less than 24hrs later a nurse at the hospital told me a nurse from Mission OBGYN sent over a tox screen in which I showed positive for drugs and she wasn't sure if I would be allowed to go home with my kids. I had the worst dissociative panic attack of my life. My husband was desperately trying to get in touch with any of the several practitioners. He was told they would call back, then he was told they were all in a meeting. They kept blowing him off. They never took his calls. They never came. They abandoned me. The same doctors that took at least a half a dozen phone calls from me early in my pregnancy when I was getting fevers from my progesterone suppositories and agonizing over taking so much as Tylenol now refused to see me or pick up the phone. What was I positive for? One test about 10 days before giving birth for opioids. This is the first time I was aware they had been drug testing me. I told the truth again: I had not taken any opioids. Social workers and nurses judgmentally insisted there was only one possible explanation but I had not taken any opioids. I was panicked and scared and confused. It took me almost a year later to realize.... poppy seeds. I was obsessed. Poppy seed bagels, lemon poppy seed muffins, everything bagels and everything bread and eating them all by the ton especially toward the end of my pregnancy. I was never contacted again by any of the doctors or staff. In fact, they sent a doctor I never met from another practice to tell me she was taking over my care. That's the short version. I was a good patient. I was honest. When I was in desperate need of support they disappeared. I experienced one of the most beautiful moments of my life and before I could even take it in I thought my children would be taken from me. It's taken me over 5 years to write this because it's all still so raw. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. They stole the most precious moments of my life from me and my babies

The front desk forwarded me to the nurse line and nurse didn't call back until after lunch. She then informed me to go to the hospital that Dr. Nowasielski could see me at. She never saw me, and when I tried to make an appt to confirm my loss via blood test the technician acted like I was an inconvenience and that I should have went a lab somewhere else to get my blood drawn. No one ever called me with my results, I had to check mychart. When I tried to make a follow up appt I was scheduled 6 weeks out. I had to switch to a different OB because I ended up needing D&C. This office is negligent. Dr. Nowasielski always seemed nice but her practice is awful so I couldn't see how she could be an attentive doctor. Unless you think your pregnancy will have zero risks I wouldn't risk it. They must work under awful work conditions to treat patients this way. I would give zero stars if I could.

I was introduced to Amanda Larkin O'Gorman when I was 6 1/2 months pregnant with my first child…read more She was referred by a co-worker of mine and though I wasn't overly familiar with the role of a Doula, even minimal research was enough for me to want to meet with Amanda to learn more about the type of support she could provide me during labor. From the beginning I felt that Amanda was a very considerate, capable, patient, and experienced individual and Mom. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I quickly saw the benefit of having Amanda with me for emotional support during the birth of my daughter. Not only did I feel confident that she would support me, but also be a source of support for my husband as well. I was in labor for 27 hours, Amanda and I kept in contact through the induction process and agreed when it was appropriate for her to be physically present at the hospital. Amanda was with me approximately 12 hours: 10 hours of labor, 1 hour of pushing and 1 hour of support after birth. During this time, she was supportive in every way I needed: mentally, emotionally, and physically she was there. She helped me stay mentally focused, verbally supported me, and held my hand when I needed it. Child birth was one of the hardest things I have had to endure, however, it would have been much more difficult had Amanda not been there. After labor, Amanda was available for questions per the terms of her contract and as a Certified Lactation Consultant, she made additional services available to help with the nursing process. Throughout this entire professional relationship, she has provided me with a variety of education resources materials that were very helpful. I am extremely grateful for having the opportunity to work with Amanda Larkin O'Gorman and feel that she is an amazing Doula who will continue to provide amazing, invaluable support to every Mother, Father and newborns she works with.

After a forcep delivery our baby was literally ripped from my wife's womb! She ripped inside…read morevaginally and had a huge blood (she passed out for 2 days every time she stood up.) Dr. Adelman NEVER came to check on my wife the whole time she was in labor, despite the nurse calling for help multiple times. Our son was positioned posterior and he got wedged in my wife's pelvis. When when doctor adelman finally came in after 2 and 1/2 hours of pushing, he proceeded to yell at my wife that she wasn't pushing hard enough. After another 15 to 20 minutes alarms started going off signaling the baby was in distress as well as my wife. It was in that moment without any warning at all that he ripped our son out of her. 22 years later my son still feels the effects of that delivery. With a severely damaged neck, and upper back, he's lived most his life in pain. I was told to thank God he didn't end with brain damage. Should I be thankful? My son was told he has neck and upper back pain so bad it's like that of a 40-year-old man who's done hard construction for 20 years. Be careful when you see this doctor. He may value some patients but he doesn't value all. We ended up having a second child, but going to a different OB. That new doctor confirmed my wife did suffer internal damaging from the forcep delivery. Beware!!! And if you take anything from this review do not let ANY doctor touch you with forceps!!

Students have come through to learn, as this is a teaching hospital, but they will only do it with your consent. Online check in through the phreesia is fast,efficient, and time saving. The staff have always been extremely patient, understanding, and caring with my son who is ADHD/ADD and can be difficult at times. I have cried many times throughout their childhood and issues, and they have always been compassionate and helpful. When my children have gone to the ER, they always responded quickly to the ER and myself off the emergency after-hours line. I highly recommend this practice for infants and children.

She removed a fibroid from my uterus via open Myomectomy and she was so comforting about it. I had a bad nurse and nurses aid who I yelled at because they were rude and I was in pain and I was having a bad reaction to the pain meds, dr ramar took care of it right away and switched my meds and I immediately felt better! I slept that night and was able to leave the following day. I apologized for being rude to her staff and explained what had happened and she wasn't mad at me at all. She is so awesome and I give her more then 5 stars! I felt so safe in her hands. I strongly recommend this office.

All other OBs around my area have merged together so you have to meet a bunch of different doctors and it's luck of the draw who will deliver you.
