The curriculum is very special and beautiful and includes friendship studies, job days, journals, and emotion cards to name a few. The vegan snacks and meals that are provided are delicious and the healthiest you will find anywhere. They offer half day and full day programs, which are very flexible and an AMAZING summer camp as well!! I have dozens of emails I sent to the director asking about my child with ZERO reply. My child seemed relatively ok and other parents were enduring the same so we stayed and I continued to try to get communication which was non existent. Finally, one day my child didn't want to go to school and it was more intense (a new baby sibling arrived and I had asked how she was doing with the transition with, again, no reply.) When I dropped her off, I asked the teacher to again please have Abby, the director, contact me and that I was starting to feel unsafe with no communication- and to be clear, I was calm and friendly and had already emailed dozens of times with no reply. When I picked my child up that afternoon she had a note her backpack telling us she was no longer welcome at bloom since I said she was "unsafe". This was not what I said (but even if it was this is a totally unethical and uncaring response unheard of in any school setting) and when I went back to talk to Abby she was shaking she was so angry and was completely unable to have a reasonable conversation. She never took any responsibility for the total lack of communication or emotional care at a preschool and had zero regard for my child's feelings around an ending like this. She said I gave her staff "an earful" when I had simply said how my child was feeling and asked for a conference or a phone call. It was truly a mind boggling conversation. My child did not get to say good bye to her friends or teachers after 2 years of being there and we are at a total loss to understand what actually happened since this kind of impulsiveness is totally foreign to us as parents looking for safe, caring childcare. There is no communication with parents, they aren't allowed in the school, there is no violin program as advertised, and they are not members of the American Montessori Society which is also advertised on their website. All parents should know this before sending their child here. I am a therapist and used every skill I have to try to have at least an understanding of my experience and she was unable to respond in any kind of reasonable way for a school director of young children. I am heartbroken for my child and wish we had avoided this school.

Beware of this school…read more It is run by extremely rigid sisters (as in siblings, not nuns) who brook no divergence from their picture of the ideal "Montessori Child". At age 3 (a year ago) our child went through a period of intense anxiety when dealing with gender identity questions and the injury of a parent in a car accident. Bloom's response was to pathologize the child as a "problem" who was a "danger". When our child requested a pronoun change, Bloom's response was again to pathologize her, request psychiatric diagnosis, and chronically misgender her. It's been clear that for the past year, Bloom has been looking for a reason to expel our child. One day, our child became upset when a parent was a bit later than usual at pickup. Bloom claimed she became "violent" and "dangerous". They claimed she tried to escape the school. They claimed she had to be physically restrained. These claims are preposterous, given that our child is four years old and weighs 35 pounds sopping wet. The staff to student ratio at the time this occurred was 2 staff to 1 student (our child was the only child left at the program). No attempt was made to help our child feel safe. No attempt was made to try to understand or console her. In the words of our child's therapist, "it's too bad the school is so rigid and more space couldn't have been given to work with and address the feelings motivating the behavior." The director of Bloom called us that evening and said our child was expelled, effective immediately. She used this incident to claim that our 4-year-old was a danger to herself and others, and pounced on the opportunity to punish her in the cruelest way possible. This has been devastating to our child, who has had her friends, her school, and her routine ripped away from her for truly incomprehensible reasons. Stay away from this school!

We first took our daughter, AJ, to preschool when she was 3. She is now 5 and in Kindergarten. She has learned so much and developed into such an amazing little girl. We all don't thank our early childhood teachers enough. AJ constantly comes home and tells us all the things her teachers have taught her. "Dad, I already knew that... Ms Marnie taught me" is a common phrase in our house!

When our son was brought into Sunset Academy for a tour we set the expectation that he might be…read morebehind socially, as well as a bit bolder or more assertive than other kids due to his size. He would also have trouble with eating on his own and naptime, especially in a new place. The director told us not to worry and helping our son along with all of this was their job, they were the experts with college degrees and training in child development. He did have trouble sleeping, but within a handful of times spent at the center he knew to go to his cot and be quieter, he was learning to model after the other children. However when he awoke crying for mommy and daddy, a common occurrence, they sent him out into the hall alone, then called for his mother to pick him up. This taught him that crying would result in getting what he wants and this was ok, also that nobody at the center would be there for him. The center (on their website when we had signed up) had indicated that we could be part time for the first 2 months our son was in daycare. It was brought up multiple times to the owner during the tour as well as the office Manager Nina that this was the case. our son's first week at the center, the owner and Nina approached our son's mother and indicated that they weren't aware he was only part time. She made it very clear they'd stated that and the owner agreed verbally to allow 2 months to be part time. At the end of May, the owner approached Crystal and indicated that he never said "two months" his policy was "one month" which had at that point changed on the website as well. He told her that she could start June 7th as full time and we adhered to that and started him full time on June 7th. That day, we showed up as planned on Monday and after 1 hour, our son was sent home because they were "understaffed" and unaware that he had been switched to full time (despite the owner being the one who insisted on it, we did not). This was the same monday of the week he was kicked out on Wednesday. Two days before our son being kicked out of Sunset Academy (the day after the above incident), our son's mother was sent home in the morning with a series of 'Incident Reports' from Sunset about our son's trouble sleeping, eating at the appropriate times, and not "interacting" with other children. This is a clear violation of the "Parent's Handbook" that is provided on the Sunset Academy website that indicates they will make every effort to work with the child and their family before forcibly removing them. Two days is not a reasonable amount of time, especially since there were no real details or plans for how we could help improve, just problems we were aware of now. The only thing that was offered was that our son should have his occupational therapist come into the building, which we immediately (that day) arranged with the occupational therapist to find the best day that would work for all parties. In addition, these "incident reports" were handed to us all at once and there was only one with a date on it, which was from a previous week. We were suddenly expected to solve all of these problems in 2 days (with literally only that amount of notice). To be clear, these were not brought up in any official capacity prior to this situation (our son's teacher had indicated he had problems sleeping and adapting but they were working on it, they had reached out asking for some ideas, and we provided them and it seemed to be improving, the teacher even said as such). Before we get into the date he was kicked out, we're like to provide additional incite into the center and how they treated our son during the time he was there. Our son was sent home early from Sunset 2 out of the 3 days he was enrolled . There were a variety of reasons that they provided to us: they had meetings to conduct during our paid time, our son did something they didn't like, or they had some staffing issue. One time in particular one of their faculty was sent in while already injured and they asked for volunteers to come pick up their children-- which we complied with despite it causing us additional stress and our son having had little time in the center. Often when our son came home after being at Sunset, he would be extremely hungry and thirsty. When we would watch on the video, they would place him in front of his food, he would wander off, and occasionally they'd put him back but in most cases that we saw, they did not... The owners are real people running a locally owned business, and offering GREAT service to their customers! They don't have all of the bells and whistles of the larger and more corporate trampoline/ninja parks, but the experience was just as enjoyable for our family! I have three boys and a girl aged 16 to 6. They are in gymnastics and are self-taught in Ninja obstacles. At first, the staff hesitated to allow my kids to try the advanced ninja obstacles (because it was our first time there), but communicated that clearly and considerately, while eventually giving them a chance to "prove themselves" under proper supervision. I appreciated their genuine concern for my kids' safety, while still being willing to cater to their desire to challenge themselves. My boys also appreciated the staff catering to them so they could enjoy the experience even more! Warrior Playground appears on the Colorado "Get Out Pass" which gets you a free session at the playground during Open Gym time on certain days.
