This is a shout out to a parishioner of StJohns, Ms. Pat. I met her today while I was doing what I call "gleaning". Collecting bottles and cans for cash to use for subway fare. She offered to buy me some fruit, I told her why I was doing this. She hugged me hard, gave me enough to get a fare card and then some, told me I could find a job and then give back. She was so lovely and strong. She reminded me I am the daughter of a King and that prayer, along with action, has power. She told me about this church. I have been to St John's Baptist Church a few times. The service has been great. The praise team was wonderful. They touch my heart every time. Pastor Williams always has a word from God that seems to be just what I need. You will feel God in this place. I recommend it if you need your spirit renewed. LT read more
