I was ultimately a candidate for oral surgery. It could not have gone more smoothly, nor with better results! We called in ahead of time and gave them the insurance information. My wife needed her wisdom teeth removed. They told us our insurance covers that. Great. So my wife went in and got the procedure done. Everything seemed super. Then... we got the bill. It was something like $400 - $500!! I'm like... what? Called them up and they're like, yeah, your insurance doesn't cover extractions. I told them that we verified this beforehand and you told us that they do cover extractions. She admitted that she said that and said she was just wrong. I'm OK, so what are you going to do about it? She's like... well, nothing, you have to pay. I'm like listen, you told me the price of the procedure up front. There were no complications and no extra charges. You can't just change the price on me by like $400 and just expect me to pay. We talked to her, her manager, etc. etc. Nobody was willing to understand. At the least, I expected to pay a reduced amount. That was my thought. It was your mistake, but I'm a reasonable guy. If the insurance is not going to pay you anything, then maybe we can split the difference. Nothing... no cooperation at all. I didn't want to deal with collections and risk my credit, so I just paid it. However, I will never go back and I will tell people I know about what they did.

First, his office rocks because they take Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. Second, I was unsure of what to expect, so I logged onto yelp RIGHT before my appt and saw all the five star reviews. Wheew. I felt a bit relieved. Third, my own experience was great. I was seen promptly. Everyone here is nice and they seem to enjoy working here (which is a HUGE plus). My xrays were taken and I found out they were digital so they could immediately see them on the computer screen! So high tech!! After the xrays, I saw the assistant wipe down everything for sanitation purposes. EXCELLENT!!! In case you are wondering, he graduated in 2004 from University of Michigan and worked in Florida for a year before moving to Chicago to start his own practice. The office was pretty booked but the staff really works with your schedule to fit you in. I did not feel rushed at all and I felt like Dr. Nasif really knew what he was doing. Dr. Nasif was gentle and not too rough on my teeth and gums. The cleaning was different from my usual cleanings in that they used baking powder crystals to clean my teeth. It was a little salty but I really liked it more than the usual polishing I get. I have experienced a lot of terrible dentists in Chicago and I feel really lucky to have accidentally found Dr. Nasif. In their paperwork nowhere did it talk about the denture appliance in the quote. What was even crazier this other office wanted to inject botox after surgery to supposedly reduce swelling & pain. Everyone is know who got a both treatment had swelling. It made no sense until I found out ut was the Dr's wife that did those treatments. I was also told at this office theyd bill the insurance for the panoramic & Dr visit & they probably won't cover much but they'd waive it from the treatment if I used them. They didn't submit it to my insurance & called me in late September., since I told them I leave end of October for winters in the south. I did get a letter from my insurance saying neither the panoramic nor the office visit was covered by insurance AND that the peridondist office should know that. One Day Dentures never charged me for any of the several panoramic nor my initial office visit. I'm usually very scared of the shots & having teeth pulled but at One Day Dentures I never felt the shots to numb my mouth, nor any of the 12-13 teeth I had pulled. The temporary bottom denture wasn't fitting well but the dr had me come in many times to adjust. I did ask about expedition of getting the bottom denture with the snap in feature (which helps keep dentures on bottom from a lot of movement for a better fit.) We waited a bit because of my leaving state but he let me come i. 1-2 times a week to get them as near perfect as I wanted them. No extra charge for all those visits & adjustments. I'm currently very pleased with my new uppers and my new lower dentures. I eat well with them they don't flop around. I appreciated the honesty, caring and commitment of all the folks at One Day Dentures. Even the in house lab people want the best fit for you. About a few months later when I was there for my surgery, it was like I the surgeon was a different person, very cold. I got to go through the experience of being interrogated of why there even after providing multiple valid reasons why I chose for me surgery to take place there. While none suited his outlook, he reluctantly performed the surgery. Only reason I didn't run was the anesthesiologist was kind & nice (even calling a day after to check in on me). The flip side of the office staff, no one would give their name when I would call. Really got the feeling they were more cold than the surgeon himself.
