Now we call freedom church our home church! I have met so many amazing people through the church! Friendships that are everlasting and helped me along my journey walking with Christ! Pastor justice is such an amazing pastor and the lord speaks through him in a way that helps me observe and apply the word of god in my daily life! I use to run away from churches that made me feel like I didn't fit in or who were rude or if I saw them smoking , cursing! Truth is our world is broken! If god accepts us for the times we have sinned why wouldn't he accept them? You don't need to be perfect or have a perfect life to follow Christ! Growing up my parents protected me from seeing how horrible this world can be and I know I needed to see these things because it would give me a choice! A choice to see what is good and bad and how to say no to bad things and how to keep my eyes on the lord or be someone else's blessing. We are all sinners but we all share one thing and that's our love for Jesus! Just like he says come to me as you are!

Throughout time they anointed me with being one of the leads for the means bible study in January of last year and they saw something in me to become an usher. I didn't ask but they asked me. So I'm feeling rejoice inside and out. They show me appreciation and tell me all the good I've done. Sometimes as men we need to feel appreciated and heard. Unfortunately, I didn't feel welcomed by the young adult community, it seemed just very cliquey. Which sucks because everyone should feel included and not be about separation and only about who you know. I believe you should be fellowshipping with everyone and not leave people out. The church has services and events that appeal to people who are moved by modern, innovative spiritual experiences as well as to those who like a traditional service. Since approximately 6 months prior to Covid, I became a regular attending visitor. During all that time I have always had nothing but the most wonderful of in-person interactions with it's staff and members. When interacting with them as a 12 step representative, the staff have always gone out of their way to provide my group with anything and everything that we need to make the meeting go forward and succeed. As just a visitor, they (Staff and Members) always make be feel welcome and as part of the family. Never once have I heard any negativity within the wall of this wonderful Church. As a member of my 12 step group, I speak for the meeting, by saying that we (the meeting) are extremely appreciative of everything that Woodland Hills Presbyterian Church has done for us. Without having this Church as our meeting location, I, many time wonder where some of my friends would be today if they didn't have our meeting to attend for sobriety and support. Before the church merged and became The Mount it was easy going now they don't allow certain people to certain areas. I got kicked out of a room for just sitting there during service time, away from the main church and then got kicked out after church. Reason was they said there's kids around( during service). Ok so after service the room has no kids then they kick us out again. I said put up a sign and no response. Then I went into the kitchen area entered the kitchen area from the back and just to get coffee and they kicked us out again. This place wastes money too. Keeping the lights, hiring a security guard, filling up a big coffee machine and throwing out over half the size of the machine left when they have the option to use a smaller machine. They also don't think when they have leftover food and coffee to save it or give it. I'm the main one who takes it otherwise it's mostly tossed. On event days later in the day why not save the leftover coffee. No they toss it and make new coffee. That's a waste of resources and money. Stay away from this church you have a better time elsewhere Even leaving stuff in the main room or other room they make it a big deal to take it. This place is way too picky. They don't even recycle cans and bottles even though they have blue bins. The front entrance of the church was opened and closed at certain times which is so dumb cause if you want people to visit during Sunday then leave it open and close it later on when everything is done. Theres trust issues. This same day the pastor talked about helping others out like the homeless, etc First Baptist church was better. We even tried to donate clothes for the church to send to another country but they didn't want it. Added on 3-11-24 I think they are attacking me and my youngest brother cause we go in the rooms to get coffee so it doesn't get tossed and I turn off the lights and tv ------- 5-24-26 Wonder how my review got deleted and this place got 5 stars, my dad told me yesterday how this place turns on the sprinklers on the street venders. When this place was taken over when the other pastor left it went downhill. They made flyers to do a meeting about rvs, street venders, homeless. They arent christlike, they aint true christians and don't care. They waste money on security and on moving the fence forward to the sidewalk. Wonder how the money is used. Amyways stay away from this bad place. Obviously they don't love thy neighbor which is god/jesus wants. The people here must be mad that i'm right and their wrong.

The people are friendly and there are plenty of weekly things to join. The youth group meets on Friday nights and is pretty big. They have a college and young adult group as well. They have weekend and midweek Bible studies and classes for the kids on Sunday morning. They have Spanish Bible studies as well. Services are in English (option to get earpiece for Spanish translation.) They also have an Armenian service once a month. If your looking for a place to land that has solid teaching, definitely check it out.
