I work with the high school students and love every aspect of it. Seeing how they start the program as shy freshmen and later graduate high school with about 50 new USY friends and achieving their goal of becoming a board member is extremely gratifying. The program is intended to teach kids about the values of life, making new friends and making the right decisions. We help them choose colleges, write their entrance essays and even help them find a summer job to pay off their first car. The memories I have as a USYer were enough to make me want to work with the program after graduation. It's values are as strong today as they were when I was a kid.

My boy started kindergarten we were so excited for him because we had to remove him from 3 day/preschools because the former guardians would somehow be allowed to get to them. And hurt them..yes I have reported it..over 20 times....Trusting this is a public school with a police security officer I just knew he would be okay. Shortly after he started somehow, he had a problem with another student, and they put him in the office at lunch time so he would be safe from the other student. He started acting different, but we chalked up to being in school and adjusting. A couple of times I swore I saw him come in the gate...opposite way he should be coming. He was like no. no grandma I am okay. I believed him and wished I didn't!!!The following year his sister started, and it was awful!!!!!! They both cried every day when I drop them off.... them would cling to me and plead......PEOPLE IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE DOING THIS YOU BETTER FIND OUT WHY????????.....My kids never learned the basics because according to the kids they would show up at their classroom and take them out of the school.... One day my girl couldn't take it and told me what was happening, but no one believed us because they are all bought and paid for!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN TELL YOU, I PULLED THEM OUT!!!!!!! On a recent rainy day, over 25 students were late due to traffic, and every single one was still penalized. Situations like this show that the school prioritizes rigid rules over common sense and student support. There is little consideration for students' emotional well-being. It feels like the focus is solely on discipline and grades, rather than creating a healthy, supportive environment where students can grow both academically and emotionally.

Parents be aware of constant discrimination before you admitted your children to this school…read more There's a boy, keep in mind he's Hispanic that's been bullying and hitting my son (black) for months, my son reported the bullying to the counselor instead of contacting me after that boy hit my son, they called the boy to the room and made him apologize for repeatedly hitting my son. Yesterday the same boy was playing basketball with my son and a classmate, he was angry and start pushing the other boy. My son try to split the fight then the boy push my son while he was walking away. My son in self defense defended himself. My son who's black get sent to the office and the vice principal whose name is Ramirez (also Spanich) called me and tell me my son get suspended for 2 days. When I ask what happened she just say for hitting a boy. Later on when I pick up my son he explained to me what happened, I asked him if he explained the issue to the vice principal who's name is Ramirez he told me that she said "she doesn't want to hear it because it's a bunch of lies."Now anyone with a common sense will not act like that. So I stopped my car and went to the office, she was busy I was told, I had the chance to speak with the dean there were witnesses I give the dean the details, she told me that my son can come on Monday until they investigated the incident. I thanked her and told her that I hope y'all come with a fair judgment. Today I bring my son to the school he was sitting in the office, since they said they will call me I was waiting. One hour and so I received the most disturbing, judgmental and discriminatory call from the principal whose name is Natalia ( who's also Hispanic most likely). Parents be aware of the title they give to the most judgmental un-human individuals. I explained my situation to the principal and what had happened, she has the nerves to tell me when the boy hit my son was months-ago and my son defended himself was current, and he should not defended himself the way he did. So I ask Natalia (principal) why didn't received a phone call from the office when that Spanich boy hits my son, she has the nerves to tell me she wasn't aware of it when everyone other leaders were aware of the issues. I asked why the other boy didn't get suspended she couldn't answer that either she told me she will investigate to it, but meanwhile my son will get suspended while the anger problem boy is still going to school. I honestly see the vice principal Ramirez , and the principal Natalia as: Racists, discriminatory and favoritism individuals. So if you're a black parents with black children be aware whatever your children will implicate in they will be at fault automatically without any investigation done, and they(principal, vice principal) will label your children as trouble makers, and liars without any form of investigation. If only they took the time to do their kids as they title them to do, the results wouldn't be the same. It's a great school, but not for colored children. And what they missed to understand Spanich are not white nor Caucasian. Education comes with all forms and shapes, just because they give y'all title that doesn't mean y'all are educated keep that in mind. Ps. The principal and vice principal are written in lower case, because of their characters. Until proven wrong I'll keep that way spineless individuals.
