I've only been in here a few times, but once people get used to your face after 10 or 15 minutes, it's a very pleasant and quiet bar. If you didn't know it was there you'd go right past it, as it's literally a big mid-terrace house. No frills here and looks like it hasn't been done up in a while. It's a little glimpse of the past though, and I can just picture the place brimming with activity back in the 80's.
It has a decent sized function room too for the occasional event or party. The place oozes character to me. It's easy to feel like you're sitting in a living room (which, at one stage, it obviously was) and that gives it a great homely feel to me. read more
