If something is one of the pastors' opinions, they're very clear about that..and how they came to that conclusion. That's a church I can trust. They don't want people to check their brain at the door and blindly accept whatever's being said. They ecourage participation & serving.. and they have a great special needs ministry. You could truly feel the Spirit moving throughout the service--it was powerful and uplifting. I really enjoyed myself and genuinely felt God's presence during worship and the message. From the moment I arrived to the time I left, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind, which made the experience even more meaningful. If I lived closer, this is definitely a church I would visit regularly just to get a deeper sense of the community and overall vibe. I would highly recommend The Village Church to anyone looking for a welcoming, Spirit-filled place of worship.

Since I have attended it for 20+ years, I seen closely Matt, Josh Patterson and the leadership and can tell you that they are pretty solid. I gave my life to Christ the first time I went because I was so moved! The worship is beautiful and sets the mood for you to connect with God perfectly. I didn't feel pushed or out of place at all. The pastor even offers a monthly evening where he meets with you to tell you more about the churches specific beliefs and to get to know him and some of the staff better. They give so much of their income to other missions and what not that they believe in and put little back into the church, but enough to be able to provide for a great staff, lots of events, and a good kids education. I'm thankful that my family came across this beautiful place that God has planted in Denton!

This is a very large church that needs only one improvement, see below for a mystery shopper…read more When we arrived, we were confused and uncertain where to go. There is construction and apparently a few different places to worship. We arrived early and followed a few people in. The beautiful chapel we went to was actually an overflow chapel. We could have sat in the main chapel. The overflow chapel had a small screen to watch the mass. Unfortunately, it was eye level and we could hardly see anything. The audio was off and on. Hopefully, the AV people weren't paid. If volunteers, then I understand . I suggest having someone who has never been here to come in as a mystery shopper type of visit and try to find their way around. This way they can offer suggestions as to signage, etc. We still have no idea where the main chapel is located! The priest gave a very good homily.
