St. Vincent de Paul Fish Fry…read more We go to fish frys every week during lent, We used to always go the Mary our Queen but the lines have gotton so long so we have been trying some new ones. We were greatly surpised at the St. Vincents fish fry, the lines were not too long (about a 30 minute to hour wait), and the fish was really good, they also offered Cheese pizza as an alternative (it was like a high end frozen pizza but the kids liked it). The kids thought the fries and Mac and Cheese were both delicious, and even went back for seconds. Their beer prices were also much lower than many of the other fish frys we have been to at $4 per pitcher for Bud Light. So if you are tired of the 3 hour wait like us, then try this one out. Hopefully I did not just give out our new little secret, and create another 3 hour line for us.

But I'm still part of their community on social media and love being able to continually connect with past grads. I may be a little biased, but there is not better high school in the Omaha area. My 4 years here were INCREDIBLE. Amazing classes, teachers, students, and activities. I basically started my nonprofit career here whilst a student. I was able to volunteer and be a leader for many awesome opportunities and local nonprofits. And Mr. Baker fully cemented my commitment to politics and advocacy. I still have a massive collection of t-shirts from my years here - Spanish Club, after prom, class shirts, etc. Want to be prepared for college? Look no further. AP and honors classes galore. Want to do sports? Marian is the winning school with some of the best coaches. Want a sense of community and connections that'll last a lifetime? Oh that's definitely Marian. I still know the "Marian beat" by heart. And you've never seen a Field Day like what it is at Marian. Just going to Marian puts you in a special club with connections and friendships and community that last a lifetime. I tell everyone to go here. And I shall continue to do so. And oh my how the campus has grown and just gotten better! It's an absolutely stellar opportunity and experience.

They appear to idolize the bishop more than truly worshiping God. The school sets yourself up for failure unless you plan on becoming married into the church or a nun/priest. I wasn't educated on what i should have known at a grade-level, due to this I struggled going into public school with both math and science that I should've known at my grade/age. They also have a sexist mindset towards woman, I was body shamed by their parishioners and told to not speak up about my beliefs by their priests & bishop. I haven't been there in 5 years but I still struggle today with the sexist beliefs they established into me not conforming to their ideals. Please do not put your children through their academy and find an actual church.
