And that the sanctuary was made of stained glass. I stopped by late on a Sunday morning. The service was over but the building was still open. So I was able to walk in. When outside, you don't notice the stained glass at all. But inside, the light is shining through and it is absolutely stunning and gorgeous. As an added bonus, they ring the chimes on Sunday mornings. So I was treated to a chimes concert during my quick visit.

It was very serene. A peaceful walk with plenty of benches to sit under the trees and enjoy some shade. As I walked around and looked at the sights it brought back great memories. There were plenty of places to light a candle and say a prayer or two. No festival this year but always time to say a prayer. There is no fee associated with your visit just be respectful to others who may be visiting.

If you feel like you're misunderstood and judged, this is where you belong. If you feel ashamed or trapped in something you've done or are doing, you will find forgiveness and freedom - right here. This is your home. That is St. Paul's. I was out for the day doing some exploring and geocaching, and I stopped here to pick up a nearby…read morecache. I noticed that there was a labyrinth on the property, and decided to go walk it. This is an old area, and the church dates back to the 1920s, but there's been a mission here all the way back to the 1730s. The church itself is a Decorated Gothic style, and is very picturesque and beautiful. The graveyard surrounding the church has headstones and monuments that go way back. The labyrinth is in a quiet, peaceful part of the grounds and is a very nice place to go take a meditative break from the world. Overall if you're a fan of history and architecture, this is a good place to stop and look around.

what a incredible church from its grand stone exterior structure to its wonderful interior with its…read morestain glass windows and religious statues with christ front and center .i came with a family friend who lives in scarsdale and attends church every sunday for morning mass and all the other important holy days . i must be totally honest , the roman catholic part of me rarely goes to church but i needed to go to sunday service with my friend cause it was important to him and hearing some uplifting words from the holy bible from the priest does help and is good for the soul. for less then an hours time , sunday service was amazing from father (forgot his name) booming and clear voice , outstanding organ player , choir singers who sang like angels to the choir boys who did a noble job. a really wonderful church in scarsdale which i gladly gave a nice donation at the end of the service.
