The building used to be a church, but it's not obvious as the renovation looks good. The parking lot is massive so plenty of parking. The space is open inside so it's easy to see around. You check in at the front where there are chairs with a tv playing Bob Ross. You get through the screening (which I couldn't go back for) then settle onto an adjustable bed for the blood donation. We were told the machines are set up so it's not possible for anything to go wrong there, lots of fail safes now at days. The nurse was new so she slightly missed the vein, but it got worked out. No issues in the past either. The staff is alwaysveruy friendly and chatty. The building is a comfortable temperature. Bathrooms are close by on the far left, apparently some people think the well water smells weird, but I didn't notice. Also on the left side is the recovery area where you sit after donating to make sure your body is good to go. They have a fridge full of juices (tropical, grape, and apple is what we saw) plus water bottles, but there is also an eco friendly water bpttle refill station and water fountain. There's a tv up on the wall over there too. The two recovery tables have a few chairs around with various goodies on the table. Mostly cookies, chips, and various sweets. Oreos and shortbread cookies were the two vegan options tried today, didn't check everything of course. The power red donation process took about an hour and a half from the check in time to leaving. It was a nice donation center and the experience went well.

I immediately noticed that most of the staff did not smile or interact in a happy way with the little toddlers . They constantly barked out corrections to the kids and someone was always in the director , Traci's office being talked to . They eventually kicked our little girl out of the school because she had occasional accidents in her pants. No consideration given to the fact that she might be somewhat behind because of her extreme prematurity. She was very upset to leave all her friends and cried when she couldnt return to class. The staff atDCA are very impatient unless your child is perfect and few are. They really shouldn't be in the childcare business in my opinion. They really put the " Christian"in Delaware Christian academy..... not. Save $200 a week on go elsewhere! We were able to make a reservation ahead of time and they had our table all set up when we arrived. The owner and one of the employees were so welcoming, and they gave us a quick overview of where to find everything. They have tons of pottery pieces to pick from and the prices of each piece are labeled on the shelf. You pick what you want to paint and away you go! They had tons of supplies - brushes, paints, stencils, stamps, etc. We had coffees from across the street and were able to bring those in. Music was great and just added to the overall experience. When you are done, you turn your pieces in for firing and they give you a pickup date for the finished product about 14 days out (currently). I am excited to see how our artwork turned out.

The advisors and teachers care more than I've experienced at other schools and an open door policy was pretty common. Sure not every advisor or teacher, but most and certainly more than other schools. They were often pretty open with me about options rather than pushing for what they felt was best. Example: I was originally in psychology and my advisors and teachers said great, if you are prepared to get a doctorate as any less probably won't do much good. They advised social work since you can do pretty much the same thing with less schooling. Other schools pushed for whatever major first picked without an reality checks or advice. MTC was actually honest. The graduation ceremony was well done and held in a nice theater.

Ohio Wesleyan is a great school for students seeking a true liberal arts experience. I felt like I…read morecould take almost any class I wanted to (within reason) each semester. You don't have to be married to your major. You can be involved with dance every semester and be a biology major. You can (as I did) complete your major in a couple of semesters, and then take whatever you want. Double-majoring is popular nowadays, but I think it's a good idea to take Wesleyan up on the fact that it has tossed out its strict graduation requirements. You can basically take only courses that interest you and graduate within many majors at Wesleyan. The faculty generally are accessible and almost all students are friendly and approachable. Don't come here if you want anything but a liberal perspective on the world. I think they should even hang a sign that says "Conservatives Need Not Apply" on the Admissions door, so they'll have less rejection letters to send. Also, a "No Christians Allowed" sign should additionally be hung. I am not conservative, nor am I religious, but I do have respect for a difference of opinion, so if you think you're different, go someplace where you'll get the respect you deserve.
