They expect them to finish "school work" and "assignments" even though they are pre-school and there are no true assignments for that age. (At least there shouldn't be) We had our child in first grade at the beginning of the year and removed him due to many blatant circumstances... one was due to a combined 1st and 2nd grade experience which he wasn't prepared for the combined learning and greatly divided attention based on acumen. They said they treat both separately but we were sent home with homework that was NOT for a first grader. This brings up a greater issue. We believe this school thinks of themselves as a higher/further educational school for bright children. They are not. They give work to children without the teaching/learning they need to actually accomplish the work. Unless you are the culture/lifestyle that also teaches your child at home, your child may be lost or left behind at this school. This has by far been the most "by the book/rules" "school" that I have seen for CHILDREN as young as three years old. Do we really think that three year olds should "finish their homework"? Do three year olds even need homework!? I believe enrolling my son in this school was one of the worst decisions I have made in my raising him to this date. He has been thriving and multitudes happier since attending public school I can't imagine why he hated this school so much.

Our concerns were unwarranted and I cannot say enough positive things about our experiences over the past several months. The staff at Faith are fabulous.The staff all go out of their way to create a positive learning environment that strives to teach our children to become responsible citizens. They push him academically but do so in a spiritual, caring and attentive manner. The class sizes are small and foster a positive learning environment. There truly is a "Faith Family" feeling to all of our interactions with the school, both in and out of the classroom. We couldn't feel more welcome or blessed. Our son has made many friends and most importantly he comes home happy each and every day. We raved so much about our experiences that our dear friends are moving their daughter from a different Christian private high school to Faith in 2020-21. There are swings, slides, a merry go round, a seesaw, tunnels, monkey bars, a running track, basketball hoops... Also a covered/shaded area and benches to sit on. The only downside is there are NO drinking fountains, so come prepared with your own water on those hot days. No matter where you go or what type of "program" a school says they base their teaching strategies on its honestly all about the teachers and WMI has some of the most caring and nurturing of people around. They are so caring welcoming they make your child feel safe while allowing them to be independent and respectful and have some ownership in their learning and school. The students- AMAZING. They are the most well behaved group of kids you will ever meet... And happy!! Because they model after each other and the teachers are good at modeling discussing/explaining reasons for why we respect each other and act the way we act everyone is happy and just respectful of each other. I had a friend tour who was weirded out and Said it wasn't natural to be this well behaved almost cult like... But it just shows you kids can be respectful playful well behaved little people if they are expected to be. The friend actually toured and did an "experiential day" with the school and actually has her daughter starting end of the month!!! The director- joy is amazing and really caring for her student.. They all love her to pieces. I will say honestly she sometimes is a little disorganized with parents (forgets scheduled meetings with parents from time to time) but never lacks with the children. I think she just has tons on her plate teaching/training/running and amazing school that things fall through the crack sometimes. She really wants the family to be really involved in the community which is great. She is also very easily reached/available and in constant communication with parents. The one negative that I can think of is they don't help wipe the kids if they are potty trained. They want them to be independent and do it on their own. My daughter has come home multiple times with skid marks because I just don't think she can reach that far. I have mentioned it before but not seriously talked to the school about it. Honestly though... There is no other school that I would trust with teaching the right morals and learning how to interact in a community to become fully functioning little people than WMI. You will not regret your decision for going....

The teachers truly care about my child and their education. I don't feel like they are just "collecting a paycheck", but instead investing in my kids and others. The school is growing and becoming even stronger in academics and athletics. A great place to be a part of with my kids!
