They push him academically but do so in a spiritual, caring and attentive manner. The class sizes are small and foster a positive learning environment. There truly is a "Faith Family" feeling to all of our interactions with the school, both in and out of the classroom. We couldn't feel more welcome or blessed. Our son has made many friends and most importantly he comes home happy each and every day. We raved so much about our experiences that our dear friends are moving their daughter from a different Christian private high school to Faith in 2020-21. After having a parent from our old daycare tell me about Nellie's and how much they and their little one love the place we had to check it out. We set up an appointment and went to tour it with the girls. Nellie went over the daily schedule with us, showed us around and went over some of the basics when she gave us the contract packet. She let us know at that time that she is pretty strict with her sick policy. That was okay with us as we know what it is like to have to miss work when other children come in sick and the bugs start going around. About two weeks in I got a call to come get my youngest. She just wasn't being herself, something was definitely wrong. I took her to the pediatrician and she ended up having an ear infection with her eyes just starting to show signs of conjunctivitis. Of course, I texted Nellie to let her know and asked if my oldest could still come in the next day as she did not have any symptoms. She asked that she didn't since they were siblings and the likelihood of the older one getting it as well are pretty high. I had no problem with this as it made total sense, I just don't know why I didn't think about it. :) I love that she communicated this and really tries to eliminate the illnesses or potential when there are siblings involved. She really is just trying to make sure that 5 other parents don't have to loose out on time at work over illnesses that could have been prevented from spreading by having those children stay home. Part two - I have noticed such a difference in my oldest child in the short amount of time she has been there. They have been working with her on recognizing the letters of the alphabet, and counting past 10. My youngest has learned some Spanish words to add to her vocabulary, is counting to 10, and is singing the ABCs (She just turned 2). They play outside almost everyday. The field trips have started and it is so nice how she does it in small groups so that the kids get a chance to have more one on one time and things are not super crazy. I have been on field trips with the other daycare and all of the kids going at once can be quite chaotic. They have a participation calendar for every month were the kids get to bring in something to share with their friends, or wear a certain color or pattern that coincides with what they are learning, or something silly and fun like crazy hair day. My oldest loves this as it gives her something to look forward to everyday. Overall my husband and I are very satisfied and happy we found Nellie's DayCare at last. Our girls love the place as well, we could not be more happy.

No matter where you go or what type of "program" a school says they base their teaching strategies on its honestly all about the teachers and WMI has some of the most caring and nurturing of people around. They are so caring welcoming they make your child feel safe while allowing them to be independent and respectful and have some ownership in their learning and school. The students- AMAZING. They are the most well behaved group of kids you will ever meet... And happy!! Because they model after each other and the teachers are good at modeling discussing/explaining reasons for why we respect each other and act the way we act everyone is happy and just respectful of each other. I had a friend tour who was weirded out and Said it wasn't natural to be this well behaved almost cult like... But it just shows you kids can be respectful playful well behaved little people if they are expected to be. The friend actually toured and did an "experiential day" with the school and actually has her daughter starting end of the month!!! The director- joy is amazing and really caring for her student.. They all love her to pieces. I will say honestly she sometimes is a little disorganized with parents (forgets scheduled meetings with parents from time to time) but never lacks with the children. I think she just has tons on her plate teaching/training/running and amazing school that things fall through the crack sometimes. She really wants the family to be really involved in the community which is great. She is also very easily reached/available and in constant communication with parents. The one negative that I can think of is they don't help wipe the kids if they are potty trained. They want them to be independent and do it on their own. My daughter has come home multiple times with skid marks because I just don't think she can reach that far. I have mentioned it before but not seriously talked to the school about it. Honestly though... There is no other school that I would trust with teaching the right morals and learning how to interact in a community to become fully functioning little people than WMI. You will not regret your decision for going....
