This is a great church. Not only is it totally inclusive and welcoming, it was the first church to…read moreordain an African American, to ordain a woman, to ordain an openly gay man, to affirm the right of same gender couples to marry, and to be in the forefront of the anti-slavery movement in the Civil Rights Movement. This particular church also believes strongly in serving its community by holding monthly community meals where they give out clothing, a hot lunch, and have trained nurses to answer medical questions.

This is a Bible believing church who preaches the gospel in the love of Jesus Christ. It is by far one of the friendliest churches I have ever been to. The pastor and his wife are delightful people who love Jesus and walk the walk. I'm not sure what happened that would make someone give them a one star rating. I can say with 100% confidence that those who are in charge at the church are true Christians. You cannot blame a church for what its parishioners may do outside of that church. I highly recommend this church to new and old Christians alike.

This is a wonderful community church. It welcomes people "no matter where they are on life's…read morejourney." That means you don't have to believe just what the church's pastors tell you. It's pretty important that you believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, but there is no litmus test. It doesn't ban people for the way they vote, their sexuality or anything else that is really their business. It is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and it is right in the heart of town. I'm so glad I started attending here when I moved to town nearly 25 years ago.
