Instead of talking to said dumbass, the dean approached me and said I could go talk to him whenever I felt like it. Uh...I think the dumbass needed more help then I did. Anyway, maybe it was my first experience in SUPER WHITE MN but I could not stand the anger and hatred directed towards Latinos and Mexicans. GOD! And then, my roommate could not understand why we even talked about racism because it was SO pointless. Jesus. Please consider going somewhere else. First off to say this company is beyond helpful! Started…read moreoff taking class. My student missed a couple days due to sports. Was very easy to make up with the dates and times available. They give you a list of things to do after class and before you can take your drivers test. In that time the staff responds to emails so fast, the phones are answered all the time, sometimes busy but if you leave a voicemail they will call back extremely fast. 100% will have my other kids and friends take this program with a+!

The issues we had with this place: The classroom instruction, although adequate , but student didn't care personally for the teacher. Behind the wheel portion of the instruction was awful. They kept stringing us along with "You must complete a BTW class before you can schedule the next one." Well, OK, the catch was that there were scarcely any BTW classes to sign up for! This continued for too long with no progress beyond the first BTW that we decided to cancel our package. They promised a refund check for the remaining unused portion but it took multiple calls over 6 weeks and "the check is in the mail" until finally it was resolved. Stay away from this toxic dis-organization.

What happens if I do hurt someone who breaks in? How long would it take for the police to respond? These questions run through my mind every time I hear a noise and are what led me to take a Home Defense course and get some actual information. Previous to taking the class, I had shot a rifle a few times and a handgun twice about 8 years ago. Clearly a novice. Scheduling the class through the website via email was really simple. I was nervous about the whole thing. The safety of being around guns, my obvious lack of experience and skills and not getting what I wanted out of the class were some of my concerns. Within the first 20 minutes of class, all of those concerns evaporated. We went over safety rules for the class and in real life situations, and discussed options for defending your home. I improved my shooting skillz dramatically although there was nowhere to go but up! The instructor, Jeff, is currently in law enforcement and has extensive training and real life experience in stressful situations. To hear his perspective on home defense issues really opened my eyes. He gave us suggestions for home defense handguns and safes, evasion tactics and so much more. He also covered the laws in MN with regard to how you can protect your home. Overall, a really great day full of information. Highly recommended!
