The pastor talks about his political views during the church sermon. People go to church to hear God's word not to hear some man's political views. I tuned in online this morning, (April 19th 2026) and the retired pastor was there preaching so I thought I would listen in. Well, it didn't take him long to start throwing around his political views once again!! This is unacceptable in a church as most people attend Sunday morning services to hear the word of God! I will never be attending here again!

The Advent Sunday Mass was amazing and very joyful. The music director did a great job of honoring God in the selections and style of music, without taking one thing away from the Mass. The Feast of the Immaculate Conception was likewise wonderful; I actually enjoyed the Homily very much, as it was informative and entertaining, telling us about why the Church does certain things, and why we believe as we do. I didn't know what a true church family could be until I found Mission City. These people are not…read morejust people that you see on Sunday. They are not just people that you give a fake "I am good" to and move on. They are people you go through life with. They are family. I have been coming here for a little over a year and a half now. Walking in the door, I am greeted by hugs, good mornings, and people genuinely wanting to check in on me. People pray for me... sometimes without me asking or knowing. I have met some of my closest friends at this church. I know that I can call a few dozen people here and they would come help me. Yes, some of this comes through being an active member and attending every week. You have to invest yourself in the community too. I volunteer for events and in different areas. I am also a member of a life group that meets once a week in a living room. The Pastors are extremely relatable. They will point out their flaws and want to be held accountable. They are also extremely honest and humble. I could tell some stories.. but I am not going to. Pastor Josh Poole has a way of making the scripture come to life and speak to exactly what you are going through. The worship team is incredible... the best that I have ever witnessed. The worship is modern. It is very well thought out by our worship leader. It generally coordinates directly with the sermon for the week. They sometimes have acoustic or worship nights too. I really look forward to them. It is praise and worship at its finest. The church is not pushy. We give a small quick speech about how generosity is our privilege with how you can donate, and that is it. There are not buckets passed around. No one is keeping tabs.... God knows. Many of the members (including myself) donate online. We welcome new guests to sign up and get an (awesome!) gift. However, you could easily visit and walk away without much interaction if you prefer. The Holy Spirit is present here. Very strongly. It is hard to really put in to words. This place is very, very special. Come see for yourself. You will be welcome no matter what. We have service at 9am and 11am on Sundays and often have special events (check the website for those).
