Every single experience with all of the Radiant Hospice team was compassionate and with dignity and respect for my Mom and the family. Any needs we had were met promptly and it made my mother's end of life experience so comfortable. Thank you for going above and beyond to help us through this difficult journey. Unfortunately, we have had to have hospice for three of our parents and this Hospice by far met our needs and our parents needs above and beyond !

Brenda failed to provide info she promised, then failed to take my call to discuss. Spent 3 hours with admission Adriana Piccianni nurse providing histor, records, met paren nearing death But she then said I was required to sign forms with missing info, vague consent authorizing release of ANY,ALL records to which I voiced concern. We all should know what info is being released and to whom and verify accuracy, etc.. Insisted all forms be signed stating it is a Medicare requirement. Offered to amend form to specify but nurse thought this was illegal or against company policy. I chose them as I was assured they were flexible in usual rules and could deal with my concerns. Admission was refused then leaving parent in need of pain meds. Told Dr would be out tonight or tomorrow to assess so record release not required only to learn no Dr available until Tuesday.Yet ad says available 24 hours per day. Called after hours nurse Kimberly requesting to speak to Brenda or medical director doctor or on call but she refused,was dismissive, had no interest in the clinical harmful effects on parent needing pain/comfort help, the hardship and time loss today and leaving a patient in need of hospice. Armando the "case manager navigator was the best person trying to help, showin he did care. Awaiting call back from higher authority to resolve failed representations and promised admission today. Uncertainty present now with much mistrust of this hospice provider. I would not waste my time had I known what I now know. Difficult to trust what staff say.

She always took the time to explain options clearly, answer our questions, and make sure our family felt informed and supported during a stressful time. She never made us feel rushed and consistently went above and beyond to advocate for what was best for my mother. She has a calm and caring disposition and is the perfect example for an "Awesome Physical Therapist!" She is professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring, and efficient. She truly made a huge difference in helping my Dad recover from his hip surgery. I can not thank the team who helped me regain some of my mobility, confidence, strength, and happiness enough! Anna, Chaeli (Shay*lee), Christian, & Colleen are the most amazing Physical Therapist(PT)/Occupational Therapist(OT) I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Extremely communicative, fun, optimistic, and always willing to work around you! Mind you, my schedule is extremely flexible, so when there're slight changes to my appt dates/time, it doesn't affect me too much*. You have to understand that they're traveling from patient to patient with little to no break in between, say for their drive. Knowing that, plus seeing how far some have to drive in between clients, gave me a whole new understanding of these caregivers. That being said, if your schedule is already tight, make sure your PT/OT understands that so they can make sure that the time/date(s)byou both specify will be abided by. Made recommendations to make my home safer(OT), and since putting those in place has offered me more confident and safe! Each morning, my mom was thoughtfully dressed and cared for with dignity, which meant so much to our family. The staff showed remarkable patience and kindness, especially in helping her with frequent toileting and ensuring she was always clean and comfortable. When she first arrived after her fall, she was in significant pain--so much so that even turning in bed or transferring was extremely difficult. The team handled her care with such gentleness and understanding during that challenging time. Thanks to the dedication and support from the rehab team, she made steady progress and, within just three weeks, was able to leave and walk again using her walker. We would also like to extend special thanks to the Director of Nursing, Alice Famador, who consistently went above and beyond--taking the time to personally address any concerns, even outside of regular working hours. That level of commitment and accessibility truly made a difference. She not only gives incorrect info but yells at the cnas. Don for the day is a better term for someone like her. She is rude and horrible to deal with. 4. I know patients who were here who often complained they were brutal and extreme when it came to patient care. They were left worse off then 5. Leo one of the rnas made it a a point to let us know where he stands politically. Why is that an issue? Because nobody wants to know what you voted for especially with how things are.

She stayed in an acute care hospital for one week and was transferred to Paradise Valley Manor and Health Care Center in National City, CA, to get her strength back before she was able to go home and be independent once again. Upon arrival, we marveled at how neat, clean, and beautifully appointed the facility was inside. The two ladies at the front desk, Sandra and Karina, couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The various staff members greeted my precious Mama with smiles and compassion and were all so very kind. The Administrator, Aaron Burrup, came in and introduced himself. He shook her hand and made her feel right at home. Amanda, from Admissions, made sure she was comfortable in her room. Her Charge Nurses, Megan, Judy, Edwin, Marisol, and Mila were very helpful and accommodating and worked with us as we shared our concerns. Faye, Karina, and Utzhi, her attentive medication nurses, made certain they continued her regular medicinal regime and if she had a special need, immediately got Doctors orders to help her with whatever arose. Her CNA's were outstanding. Esmer, Cita, Vilma, Cynthia, and Edwina treated my sweet Mom with the same love and compassion they would treat their own Mothers. They would greet her with cheerful smiles and warm hellos many times every day. They sang to her, helped her with her daily personal needs, tenderly helped her shower, neatened her room, and made her laugh. How important these things are when you are yearning to be home to be with your family. They truly become a lifeline. The housekeepers were amazing at keeping everything neat and clean. I never smelled urine or any other unpleasant odors the entire time my Mom was a patient in this facility. Her Physical Therapist, Rayne, was extraordinary. Whereas upon arrival, my Mom was so weak and dreaded therapy, Rayne encouraged her and cheered her on as she worked hard and built up her strength. He gave her the support and fortification she needed and taught her skills she will use the rest of her life. Her Occupational Therapist, Lauren, was so patient and thoughtful as she shared her expertise with my Mom so she could eventually go home and live independently again. These two Therapists infused their strength into my Mom and are the reason she is so much stronger now. With the collaboration of this hard-working, dedicated team, my darling Mama was able to go home today in better shape than before her illness. They provided excellent care for her, both physically and emotionally. Our family is extremely grateful and appreciative to the entire Staff of Paradise Valley Manor and Health Care Center.

I'm on active duty in the U.S. Navy and have been trying to assist my father from afar for several years. He was living in an Independent Living facility there but his health and overall condition were declining. We decided to move him out to be near me in San Diego. I was connected with Shelby, who was extremely supportive and savvy at dealing with all of the various entities in both FL and CA. She quickly put everything in motion to facilitate his move out here, but unfortunately, my father's condition rapidly worsened and he passed away before we could make the move. I was fortunately able to make it out there to be with him when he passed. I really wish I had learned about Windward and the services that they provide quite a while ago, as there are so many things to navigate in the realm of senior care. Shelby, in particularly, was compassionate, responsive, and very knowledgeable on all aspects of care.
