After multiple instances, we got to the point that we didn't feel it was appropriate to be bringing our child to this daycare. The staff is almost entirely white and it is definitely reflected in the way they disregard parent concerns about race and racism. More frustratingly, when we expressed concerns about these issues (they ranged from touching/doing our kiddo's hair to the way they handle discussions about policing), this center chose to call Children's Services rather than to have a conversation with us about it. We called and spoke to corporate and they seemed to acknowledge this wasn't okay, but not sure what happened beyond that. Furthermore, since then most of the office staff has refused to even look at or acknowledge my wife and I, to the point that I've witnessed office staff hurriedly running out of the office when we arrived or asking others nearby to hand us papers rather than just... handing them to us. I think this might be great for some parents, but I personally would never put another Black or Latinx child in this daycare (or any child, but especially kids of color), at least until they seriously revisit their policies and have some substantial training around how to work with/support minority children in ways that make them safer, rather than in ways that could potentially put them at risk of harm.

The Goddard School has been wonderful for my child. I always feel that he is safe, well taken care of, that the facility is clean, and that all children, regardless of race are welcome. My son is not of entirely white descent, and I have never felt like he us treated any differently than any other child in the classroom. Yes, the staff is primarily white, but we are in North Ridgeville, OH and when compared to local diversity, I would stay the staff is reflective of that. I have seen children of all races in my child's classroom as well as when when dropping off or picking up my child, all of whom appear happy, healthy, and their parents demeanor is the same. If you're looking for a place that you can feel comfortable bringing your child, feel confident in The Goddard School. Unless our life situation changes, I don't foresee my child attending any other school before he starts Kindergarten.

The classrooms are clean, bright, and well-organized, providing a safe and stimulating environment for learning and play. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to encourage creativity, social skills, and early academic development. Our child has grown so much in confidence and independence since joining Childtime. We especially appreciate the regular updates and photos we receive throughout the day, which help us stay connected and informed about our child's progress. Communication with teachers and administrators is always open and responsive. They truly listen to any concerns and work with families to ensure each child's needs are met. I attend Mass and Confession at St. Mary' periodically; here are the highlights:…read more ~ Typical Mass and Confession times (see bulletin for changes): -- Sunday Masses (Vigil: 4pm; Sun: 8am, 10am, 12pm) -- Daily Masses are different each day: Mon: 7:30pm, Tues-Wed: 8:30am, Thurs: 7:30pm, Fri-Sat: 8:30am -- Confession: Sat: 2:30-3:30pm, Mon: 7-7:25pm -- Adoration with Benediction: Thurs: 5-7pm ~ The Church: It's a beautifully architected Church. I love looking at all the Saints, Mary, and Jesus up near / beyond the Altar. It is a small church and old -- you'll often hear constant screeching of the kneelers and a crackling sound as people sit in the pews. But I love the traditional looking churches; it makes it just a more special place. If you look up just above the Altar an amazing image of Jesus is there -- I often look at that image for a brief moment as the priest lifts up the Body and Blood of Jesus to help me imagine Him there visually present. ~ Music: For the most part, the music and cantoring is delightful. I love the traditional organ music, which is typically played at the 8am, 10am, and 12pm Sunday Masses. The 4pm Vigil Mass isn't as great as they don't use the organ and have a different cantor. ~ Priests, Staff, Congregation, Parishioners: Fr. Tom (who is the current pastor) is great. I love how he starts his homilies with an anecdote related to the readings and/or Gospel -- it often engages you to listen. He also has the heart of Jesus in the Confessional, just as you would hope. The deacon, who also does homilies periodically is good, but I just don't like the animated ones or ones where he sings. Outside the priest and deacon, I've met a couple of the people who help out setup and/or during the Mass and they are great people. However, there are parishioners that talk before Mass that you can hear clearly, and that time is meant to be silent so we can prepare our hearts for Mass. (See paragraph 45: https://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/ccdds/documents/rc_con_ccdds_doc_20030317_ordinamento-messale_en.html) All in all, it's a great church, great community, and love coming here when I am able.

That being said, I cannot say enough about the curriculum and teachers that our children get to spend time with every day. I can vouch first-hand for any teacher, preschool through grade 8, and feel blessed every day by the team of teachers my children are lucky enough to have. The STEM program is top-notch, and I am constantly amazed by what my children are learning not just from books, but experiences each and every day. They are learning not just to memorize facts and processes, but to think through challenges, collaborate with others, and problem-solve, developing skills that will be critical for life. I am so impressed by the unity of the junior high teachers working as a team, setting the tone for expectations from the start of the year and making sure that students will be better than prepared for ANY high school they choose.

My husband and I met with the director and we discussed our concerns about our toddler's teacher and she reassured us. Soon after we find out from an employee at the daycare that our child's teacher had put her hands on our daughter. The daycare never informed us of the incident and swept it under the rug and come to find out they lied about what actually happened to cover up their mess. They made excuses for the teacher saying it was an accident and she acted out of impulse... The teacher is STILL WORKING there. We obviously pulled our daughter out immediately and after that they felt they didn't need to take any action. If you care about the well being of your child you won't put them in this daycare. I will continue to spread the word and take legal action until these people are held accountable.
