Thank you Pastor Martha and Pastor Dan for your leadership and guidance! This church is truly based on the word of God. The love and compassion they have for people is such a blessing to watch and experience! As a family of 5, (2 toddlers and a teenager), it was important for us to find a church that would welcome us considering we have kids at different stages. And let me tell you, my little guys ask to come back every time and get their shoes on when we say we're going to church! Our teenager loves to sit with us as it makes him feel grown sitting with other grown-ups! We just can't wait to grow alongside them! P.s. The declaration of faith we declare each week gets to heaven and DOESN'T return void!

Most of the church members including people who know me and saw me with my foster family from the church family and congregation ...of Martha and her sister Mary Alessi's church have completely ghosted me and do not accept me on any social media today. Very few church members who know me from the congregation accept me on social media and keep in ...touch and stay real with me today. Others have actually blocked me after I said Merry Christmas to them! Just absolutely STUNNING AND SHOCKING! I can't understand HOW this church and Martha's family advertises relationships ...and a sense of solid Christianity but then go ahead and kick me out of the church by actually calling the cops on me, ...pretending they don't even know me, and completely ignoring me when I've tried to say hello to them. These people were VERY mean to me, even while attending their youth group services during the late 90s. Mary and Martha's churches both also have huge reputations for asking people for money, as they both live lavish, luxurious lives. This is not a true "spirit of family" church. This family never forgave me as Jesus did. Instead, this church family called the police on me, a helpless female with a handicap who was looking for a support system since my kids got taken away.

The moment we stepped into Calvary Orlando, just a few weeks ago, we knew we had found something special. From the very beginning, we were welcomed with such warmth, care, and genuine .The atmosphere is not just friendly--it's Spirit-filled. If you're looking to deepen your relationship with the Lord, this is the place to be. The teaching is rooted in the Word of God, and the pastor preaches the gospel in a way that challenges, inspires, and draws you closer to Jesus. Our young children absolutely love the kids' ministry. The program is engaging, fun, and Christ-centered, and it gives us such peace of mind knowing they are in a safe and nurturing environment where they're learning about Jesus in a way they can understand and enjoy. We're so grateful to have found Calvary Orlando. It's not just a church--it's a true spiritual home. Whether you're new to the area or just searching for a place to belong, we highly recommend visiting. You'll be welcomed with open arms!

Julia K.'s Review…read more Review from Julia K. Elite '13 213 friends 234 reviews Julia K. Redondo Beach, CA 1/21/2013 I was here for Catholic Church service on a recent Sunday, and it was one of the most genuine, lovely, touching services of my adult life. The Catholic community here is nascent. It can be learned about here, at their website: http://www.stdorothycatholiccommunity.org We arrived a few minutes before the Sunday 11:00am service. Parking is easy to find just on the street, but there is a small lot next to the chapel. Father Jim was feeling under the weather, but he has a rich, lovely voice and an unafffected manner that made all feel welcome. This is not the typical Catholic experience, and for those looking for an inclusive, love-based non-judgemental yet familiar Catholic service, you found it! Small crowd - about 14 people. But as there are only 6 pews, and two rows of folding chairs, we all easily fit in the space (I imagine that they have more seating). The service was traditional in the Catholic tradition, but the inclusiveness to the community was unique. It was a pleasure to hear the homily and then, afterward, some reflections from the congregation. One of the members of the congregation manned a boom box and played the music, including hymns, at appropriate points in the mass. I look forward to returning to the tiny chapel with the massive heart on my next visit to Winter Park.

Perhaps Central Florida's best Progressive, Mainline church…read more As of April 2015, about to get a new pastor, so an exciting time to be a part of the church. Men & Women pastors, members of all ages, a plethora of programs, a Monday night service for young adults, a gorgeous courtyard, a great Jr High and Sr High program (probably about 100 students total), close to lots of fun on Park Ave, traditional and contemporary services, a great choir, great preaching, a healthy amount of parking, lots of mission work, a separate service in a lower-income part of Orlando. Lots of great things going on at this growing and open-minded church. Personally, I wish that there were more people closer to me in age (28). But other than that, this is a great place, especially if you're looking for a more traditional looking & sounding church (classical music) that is also open-minded and open and inclusive to all.
