And I can testify Myself that that i have never been to the uptown church without hearing the lords truth and being filled with the holy spirit. The preachers in my Opinion are heavily anointed And care enough to tell you the truth I Thank God for the uptown church every service i go to I cant wait for the next .And as to them being self made I dont know but I know what the bible says And it says in 1 Thessalonians 1 4For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 6You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. The Holy spirit leads us to all truth Not man Jesus himself said in Matthew 23 ;10 dont let anyone call you teacher for you have only one teacher the lord jesus christ . Big private parking lot and walked in to admire and appreciate the stained glass, incredible woodwork and took the time to walk the stations of the cross One of the volunteers (Ann) was patient, kind and a fountain of knowledge, taking time to share with this out of town visitor. This church began construction in 1894 and was partially completed by 1915. It is of French Gothic Architectural style and is on the US National Register of Historic Places. Per Wikipedia, "The cathedral is famous for what is said to be the world's largest handmade church stained glass window." "The window was created by Mayer and Company of Munich, Germany, and installed in 1911. It was fully restored in 2001." There is ample parking in the church grounds with an additional overflow lot nearby. It is definitely a beautiful space to visit and attend mass.
