We LOVE St. Peter!…read more We were first introduced to St. Peter by a friend because they offered a preschool program that accepted 3 and 4 year olds which was exactly what we needed as our boys are a year apart. After some time, our daughter who was going to public school in Schaumburg asked if she could transition to St. Peter after seeing the wonderful teachers and welcoming culture they had (and she wanted to learn more about Jesus). After attending a day at St. Peter as a visiting student and giving her winter break to think about it, we decided as a family to move her over and we're so glad that we did. Not only did our daughter get to learn and build a relationship with Jesus Christ, but she also come out so much stronger academically than her friends at in public school. She is now entering her freshman year at high school and has multiple accelerated classes and is preparing to be a 3-sport athlete. On top of the academic preparedness, we have fallen in love with both the school and the church because of its close-knit community. Our family was recently displaced from our home and the amount of support that we've received from the staff and other families of the school has been unreal. If you want your kids to excel academically, grow up in a loving, supportive community and have a true relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you need to check out St Peter School!

She's tenured and they cannot fire her. She repeatedly yells at my daughter and berates her. Today she saw my daughter showing another student a drawing, she snatched it out of her hand, crumpled it up and left her in tears until the end of the day. She intentionally humiliated her and left her in tears over showing her friend a drawing. I wish I could say this is all that happened but I've had other parents coming up to me questioning me why their own kids are telling them how mean she is to my daughter. DO NOT send your kid to fourth grade here. Mrs. Allor is her name and she should not be teaching children. My name is Jason Pierce. I sent my one year old son here for about a month before withdrawing him because I did not feel he…read morewas being cared for appropriately. First off, there is no communication here. If I wanted any information from the director or the teachers I needed to ask for it, and I often got different responses depending on who I asked. It felt like the teachers relied on the "Tadpoles" app as a crutch so that they did not have to talk to us. Moreover, I was upset at the number of injuries and incidents my son experienced here compared to his placement at another center. His very first day after attending, he came home with horrible diaper rash with open sores. The teachers tried to make excuses for this by saying it may have been because they were serving him fruit. This is ridiculous to me because we had been serving him fruit at home for almost a year at that point. He was constantly sick and had so many bruises, scrapes and bite marks from "incidents" that I was afraid his pediatrician would think he was being abused. It culminated in an incident where he had a febrile seizure in the classroom and the teachers claimed that they had no idea what caused the seizure or if it could have been prevented. They sent him to the ER where his temperature was found to be 102.7. They claimed someone had been holding him when it happened, so how could they not have known that he had a fever? We had also previously told them that he has a history of febrile seizures. As childcare professionals they should have known the signs of a fever and been able to contact us or administer Tylenol to him before the seizure happened. All in all I did not feel safe sending my son here, and I think the teachers and director did not do a good job either communicating or making sure my child was appropriately cared for. I am writing this not to hurt their business but to make sure other parents are able to make an informed choice when it comes to who they trust with their child's care.

*UPDATE* Was recently made aware by former employees that…read moreRoccio and other teachers indeed targeted my son, aggressively pulled him and other children, not providing adequate portions of food, and falsely writing up my son for things he DIDNT do when it was her son bullying my son and other children. Please save yourself the stress and your kids the trauma and don't enroll your children here! If I could give this place zero stars I would. There were a few teachers (if they are still there) that were great. In the 6 months my kids were there, there were many staff changes and 3 different directors. Rocio (director) targeted my son because of his disability (sensory issues and Autism). It was so bad we are considering getting an attorney for discrimination because of his disability. She would make up things that he was supposedly doing and call me countless times a day interfering me with my work, but then when either myself or my mom would ask about these behaviors the teachers had no idea or say that it never happened or didn't happen the way that Rocio told me. I was lied to from the beginning. This place is not an environment where you want to leave your kids. I brought my concerns to the director and stated that I was thinking of pulling my kids out more so my son because of unfair treatment and I was afraid that because the teachers didn't know what they were doing and how to handle my son I didn't want them to get mad at him and hit him or do something harmful out of frustration. She said yeah I understand. No reassurance or nothing. Most directors if they heard a parent say something like that they would immediately dismiss it and comfort/reassure the parent. She just wanted my son gone. I believe her son was in the same room as my son and I (as well as my dad and my sons OT) saw him countless times take things from my son or other kids and push and throw, but I guess because he's the directors son he gets a pass. I sent an email to her boss and didn't receive a response so I then sent an email to the VP of operations to which he stated that he told them not to respond to me. While I appreciate that he did try to work with me especially with payment arrangements, it felt as though they were targeting my son and would do anything to get him out. They also couldn't follow simple dietary instructions. My kids were constantly given cows milk (even though they were told about the dietary restriction upon enrollment) and would have diarrhea and stomach pains at least 3 times a week. The teachers would say oh maybe they drank it by accident. Do the teachers not watch when the 2-4 year olds eat to prevent these things from happening? Ms. Emily and Ms. Bri were the best for this school and ever since they left it was a train wreck. I pulled my kids out and they go to a much better place. My son especially is so happy and has had ZERO issues. Makes me think it was just this place and he was being mistreated. Enroll your kids at your own risk, but I definitely don't recommend. Look elsewhere and save yourself the headache.
