This is a great little resale shop in downtown Eustis. We have found several like-new items here…read moreand very-good used items. I love looking at all the CD's and tools to see if I can find anything special for a great price. My wife has found several tops, jackets, and outfits here that were like-new at a very affordable price. Additionally, we have purchased treats, food, toys, and multiple walking harnesses/leashes for our dog on the cheap! On our most recent visit, around Thanksgiving 2023, the store had a sale on clothing; buy one get two free; the volunteers said it can be mix-n-match too, wow, what a deal! The store also had a 50% Christmas items, 50% off all small appliances, blankets, and linens. I also have to mention this store is a great resource to the community especially If you are living with or taking care of older or disabled person. We previously purchased a walker here in the past for a very low cost, and I noticed they had a wheel chair, crutches and other items that might come in handy when helping a loved one get around. On this day in Eustis, it was quite chilly out. A gentleman entered the store because he was cold and didn't have a jacket. He walked out of the store with a decent light coat for $0.50; amazing! If you are in the area and looking for a great place to shop while supporting animals in crisis, then the Humane Society is the place for you.

It was a WIN! One of the many places we visited was the Hospice Hope Chest. Let's start with the two ladies behind the counter who are simply lovely. My daughter and I both left with some treasures, she departed with more than I did. ;) I purchased a collectors item for a friend's birthday and a fantastic gold vintage clutch for myself. Let the record reflect I didn't need another gold nor vintage clutch, but also let the record reflect it gives me JOY! So for $8 and to support a great cause, I bought it. If you're a fellow thriftaholic and find yourself in Mount Dora, stop by the Hospice Hope Chest. It's an accessory haven and they also have a few amazing furniture pieces and lots of items for the home. The store is arranged well and the customer service is superb.

That being said, this is a very nice, curated shopping experience, so you don't have to wade through junk to see the good stuff. I had to flip to more of a boutique/antique shop pricing mindset, which was fine because I'm happy with the quality and selection of things I purchased. They also price things at half of what they find via Google images, meaning they're pricing according to prices and not sold comparisons, so just be wary on the items that are priced at more than what they should be. It's definitely worth a stop!

It is relatively spacious there, and there are countless cats to visit and comfort. One is encouraged to do so. We spent some time hanging out with the cats, and left a cash donation , it was worth every penney. If it was closer to me I would visit quite often. The donation drop off always goes so smoothly, they have everything organized in sections, tons on furniture that's so well priced! The staff is so friendly! My daughter no longer lives in a Goodwill group home, but she still works at one of their stores when no one else would hire her, so I still don't hold their slightly higher thrift store prices against them. In fact, I saw a few non-clothing items that I thought were slightly under priced, such as brand new looking baseball gloves for $7. Those things are very expensive new. I escaped this time with just a couple of clothing items as I was just browsing really.
