Well, Dr. Romanow is an excellent doctor but she is surrounded by sub par staff. Wanda, her receptionist, purposely ignores pertinent information when taking down a message (about prescriptions) even when it's repeated to her three times. She also will not transfer you to the doctor's medical assistant because I've been told by the apathetic and pathetic office manager who clearly has comprehension and listening disabilities that all the receptionists are medical assistants (her words). In the end after explaining the situation to this so called manager for over 20 minutes, she ends up blaming me for the incident (of course, she denies this by saying "I'm putting words in her mouth"). But you know exactly what she is thinking when she says that "I cancelled the prescription" which is insinuating that I'm the possible cause of this turmoil. An office manager is supposed to rectify an issue not to exacerbate it which clearly she has done. She not only gave me excuses for all the complaints against Wanda, but again she could not even get the facts straight even after discussing the problem at length. Overall, your experience may differ and again the doctor is excellent, but I won't ever be coming back to this super crappy staff.

I didn't even know this location existed as it is tucked behind other businesses off Beach Boulevard. But I was pleased it was only 6 minutes from my house. Dr Joseph replied to my request to switch my care to her office quickly and I was able to schedule an appointment the following day after submitting the request. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly welcome by the nice receptionist. I waited roughly 10 minutes to be taken into the exam room where I discussed my current medications with a nurse. Dr Joseph was thorough, discussing all my health concerns and suggesting some lifestyle changes to help lower my cholesterol and lose weight. I left the appointment feeling good about my decision to start seeing Dr Joseph. When I checkout, we scheduled my annual physical in August.

She is not going to send you to countless specialists. It's a small office and she gets to know her patients on a personal level. And what's even better is she has now has non-invasive cosmetic treatments in house and Botox. I feel it's safer getting this done by a real medical doctor. And her staff has been with her for years. My doctor was switched and I was never informed until I arrived at my appointment today. My doctor no longer works here (Dr.Yoder) was my physician The doctor (PA) Sonila Musta Kina that I saw today is the absolute WORST doctor I've ever encountered! She was very dismissive, she took me off of medications that I've been on for years (I have Lupus and fighting to not get stomach cancer) but because she doesn't like them she removed them and said that I need a specialist to get those medications.. this is the same office that have refilled my medications plenty of times before. Fast forward I then heard her kindly speak to other patients (ones that skin isn't like mine) and it was a completely different tone. I don't know if she ended up given them just as bad service and care as she did me but I will NEVER see her again (I rather die). Then I requested to speak to the office manager and she wasn't no help.. the PA really got nasty after I wanted to speak to the office manager. While I was never a patient there, St.Vincent's has been phenomenal in taking care of my boyfriend and my Mother when they had issues. It never dawned on me that behind the hospital in the Joe Adams building they were seeing people for everyday care. I went in and the staff were so friendly, seeing that I was a new patient. I had requested they send me all the new patient paperwork in the mail so that I could fill it out ahead of time, especially the medical records transfer and they did this in a matter of days. I waited maybe 10 minutes before I was called back. My new doctor, Dr. Katie Longo, might be slightly younger than me but she was so helpful an courteous. We reviewed all my old records and anything that may have come up since my last doctor's visit and she put everything in the system. She also informed me that I don't need certain exams as often as I had been going prior. I wish my old doctor had told me that. I could have saved myself unnecessary trips. I really like her and I love how it's so close to me now. I would definitely recommend this doctor's office to anyone.

I was able to check in for my appointment for a blood draw to be followed by an x-ray. I didn't get to sit three minutes and I was called for the blood draw lol. I was not by such a lovely woman who listened when I said I bruise easily and used a butterfly draw to make it easier. Just a prick. Seamless and quick then I walked out to check in for the x-ray where the experience was similar. I hope I can come to this facility again for some future things like mammograms, x-rays, and bloodwork. I would like to permanently break up with Labcorp. Employees here have all been free, friendly and helpful. The quality of care so far has been excellent.

This isn't the first Dr. I've known to leave Baptist for whatever reason and it makes me wonder what's going on there. With all the changes in managed care and increased demands on reporting and documentation and decreased reimbursement, it's no wonder that the medical world is going through a shake up. Even though we were promised that if we liked our Dr we could keep our Dr, and if we liked our plan we could keep our plan, neither is true. Our rates have gone up and our deductible has gone up and now we're having to change Dr's because he can't abide by the changes being imposed on him by Obamacare. I didn't want to make this about that, but it is what it is and I feel like the needs of the few of outweigh the needs of the many. It would have been more economical to simply offer coverage to those with pre-existing conditions or the uninsured through some type of special program than to rewrite the entire industry.
