Concerned about this explanation, I contacted the insurance company directly. According to the representative I spoke with, that was not the case. Being given information that appears to be inaccurate is unacceptable, especially when it involves healthcare and insurance coverage. Instead of receiving clear and honest communication, I was left trying to sort out conflicting information on my own. . The overall experience created unnecessary stress and frustration during a situation that was already difficult to navigate. Patients deserve transparency, professionalism, and accurate information. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and I cannot recommend this practice based on how this matter was handled. Just be honest. Dont lie to create confusion with loyal patients in St Augustine!!

The place is beautiful, art everywhere, places to sit and relax, history of the Mayo family and how it all came to be, photos, and information. This was all just in one part of it where we were, the ER and Davis Building. They also have quality places to eat and even a full Starbucks here. This is a state of the art hospital with world class physicians. Walking the corridors there an air of calm knowing you or your family member are being treated by the best.

I'm considering driving the 3-1/2 hours to Brandon, FL and 3-1-/2 hour drive back just to get the relief +I should have by this point, but when this Dr only increases the pump at .05mg. every 3 months, I'll be 150 years old by they get to a level that might help if they program it to run continuously like it used to run and at a much higher rate as well as get rid of the candy Tylenol and the other one that might as well be candy and back on the 15mg. immediate release as needed so I can actually get off my ass and start enjoying what I used to do working around the house, welding, woodworking, fishing, hunting and just be up moving around and enjoying life again!! My pre-op nurse was so nice and made sure I was comfortable. With the COVID restrictions, I was not allowed to have anyone with me, which I was initially worried about, but having this particular nurse made me feel better and I didn't have to wait very long after I was prepped before I was wheeled back to surgery, which helped. Everyone took the time to introduce themselves and talked to me, which is important. My post-op nurse was the same nurse I had last time in pre-op, so it was great to see a familiar face. I actually had the same anesthesiologist, too. My surgery lasted less than an hour and although I wished that my family member was able to be there, I was comforted by the fact that I was in good hands.

Our initial impression was more of a pleasant surprise. She and I both envisioned mass chaos, but everything was very well organized. The physical location of the surgery centers extremely convenient & easily accessible from I-95 and J. Turner Butler Boulevard . Check-in was a breeze for anyone who understands modern technology. If an elderly person were to be there alone, they may have issues with the check-in process because it is all computerized. There were many different people there for many different surgeries but the wait time was minimal for my mother's Doctor and her cataract surgery. I'm uncertain how they choose, which surgeries happen in which rooms but I would think that similar surgeries all happened in the same rooms in order to keep the flow of patients moving quickly. The staff was all very cordial and greeted each patient with a smile on their face. The ones I witnessed were all soft spoken and genuinely concerned for the health and welfare of the patients they were with. The lobby, waiting room and what I could see of the receptionist's area was very clean and organized, but I was unable to view any of the operating rooms as I waited in the waiting area for my mother's procedure to be finished. From what it seems, surgery centers, streamline the surgery process, and look to be the wave of the future. This particular Center turned out to be a blessing for my mother, as she is quite anxious with anything medically related. She was pleased with the swift service and very thorough nature of the staff at Southpoint surgery center!
