Every person I dealt with was professional, engaging, helpful, interested, and above all caring. What a team! Information was easy to obtain and the Nurses and staff were obviously well trained and very professional. The staff was also very supportive of each other and very well trained from my point of view. It was teamwork at its best! Well trained, positive and pro active approach to everything they did! I wouldn't usually review a medical office, but my experience today was so great I just had to! I…read moremet with Dr. Patel last week and he seemed confident and informed. He promptly scheduled me for an infusion this week and that's what I had today. There is plenty of parking, a large lobby, and even a vending machine for snacks if your infusion takes a while like mine did! Let me preface I have a horrible fear of needles, so this kind of place is a nightmare for me. When I told the nurses and the people who draw blood, they were so quick to make me as comfortable as possible. Kris, the nurse manager, was able to find a vein in my baby sized veins. She was so patient, kind, and compassionate. I get anxiety about being a burden since I can be difficult, but she didn't make me feel that way for a second. Another honorable mention is the nurse I had, Jasmine, who was so attentive and supportive. She explained things very thoroughly and made me feel confident in the treatment I was getting. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Overall, if you come here, be assured you'll have some great care with professionals who lead with compassion and patience. No one wants to go to a cancer center, but the nurses and doctors change that once you meet them.

While visiting my friend 5-ish years ago things didn't sit quite right with me. She was in the hospital for nearly a month with an excruciatingly painful kidney infection that just wouldn't heal quickly nor easily. To me, that seemed odd... but I'm not a doctor. She didn't seem to be getting what she needed to heal properly. Upon being discharged she sought other doctors for prolonged care. About two years ago, my mom fell and dislocated her shoulder. I took her to the emergency room at Baptist Beaches. Knowing she was in pain, she wasn't actually seen for any type of care (just checked in and places in a room for several hours before even meeting the ER doctor. While waiting she wasn't given anything for her pain, either.... Not even some ice to place on the shoulder. Once the doctor came him he was VERY short with her and spoke rather rudely, almost as if to childishly mock her because she, too, was being short and raising her voice. However, she was the one in pain! He even threatened to 'walk out of the room and not come back' after she told him that she didn't want morphine. She related it to another family member's death and it was an unpleasant trigger for her. He behaved quite immaturely as I waited for him to stomp his feet as he left the room. I literally had to be a referee for the two of them. To this day, my mom STILL cannot lift her arm much higher than where her elbow is. However, that is in part because she didn't go to physical therapy after her injury. A couple of months ago, I again had to take my mother to the ER immediately following a visit with her general practitioner. It was discovered that she had a blood lot in her leg. To this day, we don't know how big it is, if it's dissipated, where she's bleeding from, or exactly how serious it was. We DO know that this visit was much more palatable for her 5 day stay. The nurses were more polite and orderly in their interactions with her. They seemed to be knowledgeable and very thorough with their responsibilities and communications. In both cases, I'm grateful to have had an emergency room so close to her home!

A Shocking Lack of Respect for a Cardiology Patient with Baptish Medical Center Beaches…read more I had an appointment scheduled with my cardiologist, Dr. Cox, at Baptist Beaches Cardiology Center in Jacksonville Beach for 8:15 a.m. on September 17, 2026. I arrived approximately 10 minutes early, only to be told that I was not on the schedule. I made this appointment last February, more than seven months ago. At some point, Dr. Cox's schedule changed, and my appointment was canceled. However, no one bothered to make certain I knew about the cancellation or arrange another timely appointment. I drove to the office expecting to receive an important cardiology checkup and review the results of my CT scan. Instead, I was casually informed that I had no appointment. Then came the truly unbelievable part. I was told that Dr. Cox's next available appointment would not be until sometime in April 2027. That would mean waiting approximately 14 months from the time I originally scheduled this appointment just to see my own cardiologist. When I expressed how unacceptable that was, the response was that they are very busy this time of year. Apparently, "this time of year" now lasts until next April. The only alternative they offered was an appointment with a physician assistant approximately seven weeks from now to review my CT scan. Therefore, after already waiting more than seven months for today's appointment, I must now wait another seven weeks to discuss the results with a PA because my actual cardiologist cannot see me until next spring. This is cardiology, not a routine haircut or restaurant reservation. Patients are dealing with heart conditions, medical tests, serious concerns, and genuine anxiety. Canceling a long-scheduled appointment without ensuring the patient is properly notified is irresponsible. Making that patient wait another seven weeks to review a CT scan, while offering no appointment with the cardiologist until April, demonstrates a stunning lack of respect and concern. Baptist Beaches Cardiology Center appears to have forgotten that patients are human beings, not numbers to be moved around on a schedule. If a physician's schedule changes, the responsibility belongs to the practice to contact affected patients promptly and provide reasonable alternatives. It should never be the patient's responsibility to arrive for an appointment and discover at the front desk that it disappeared. I find the way I was treated disrespectful, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. Being "busy" is not an excuse for poor communication, inadequate scheduling, or leaving a cardiology patient waiting months to review important test results. Baptist Health should be embarrassed by this level of patient service. Patients deserve communication, accountability, timely care, and basic respect. I received none of those things today.

The staff was clear about all the questions and processes and kept everything moving in a nice rhythm. They did multiple checks/tests and will follow up with me on some items over the customer portal but provided all the feedback I needed immediately. I highly recommend this office, staff, & doctor!

I legitimately had no where to turn for advice as no other woman in my family had had a previous diagnosis. I've always strived to be the one to pave the path for others... but this isn't one I'd ever wanted to tackle. I was petrified upon hearing my diagnosis... invasive ductal carcinoma, among other foreign terminology... radiologist, core needle biopsy, mastectomy, estrogen & progesterone receptor, lumpectomy, tamoxifen.... Among countless others! Upon referral to The Hill Breast Center, several things became simpler to discern and choose the most viable option for myself. The staff that I've been assigned have been very gracious, supportive, helpful, understanding, knowledgeable, and informative medical professionals I've had the pleasure to encounter. From the lobby staff to the scrub techs, to the radiographers and all the way to the surgical team... everyone has been amazingly sincere with their every intention! I cannot say enough about the professionalism and dedication to excellence The Hill Breast Center employees have graced me with! I'm now 4 years cancer free and I owe it all to Baptist Medical Center in conjunction with The Hill Breast Center! May they continue to eradicate not only Breast Cancer but ALL cancer!!! #savinglivesonepatientatatime

They always answer all my questions in "Layman's Terms". Check in and preregistration process with Cynthia was quick and easy. She was very knowledgeable reviewing my insurance on file. 3D mammography in the Women's Imaging Dept done by Marcia. I appreciated her high level of care and attention to detail was outstanding! She was very thorough and you can tell she takes great pride in her career. She not only explained the entire process of what my visit was going to entail, but also showed empathy, knowledge and passion for the imaging industry. I am always impressed with her top notch service and compassion! I also appreciated that the radiologist reviewed my images while I was waiting and was given my results right away.... Win-Win!! ACR BI-RADS Category 1: Negative/No suspicious findings. The health care team always does a fabulous job following CDC guidelines. There are sanitation stations and the waiting area is immaculately clean. Do yourself a favor and go to Baptist Health Imaging for your annual mammography, ultrasound needs and spread the word to the ladies in your life that #mammograms save lives!

I like that there are many professionals to see there, so you can USUALLY get into someone quickly if its a semi-emergency. The only thing to watch, and this may be true for many medical practices, is the lab work on yearly wellness visits. For some reason, Mayo tests came through ala carte and cost a fortune the first time. I don't know if that has changed, but I now get a paper script for the bundled tests (CMP, CBC, etc) and take it to Quest.

My doctor is the best. I'm dropping a star due to a few factors. It took many months to get off the waitlist and to finally get in the Mayo system. Also, there have been a few new people up front that aren't as cheery or as helpful as others in the past. Finally, I had to see an NP on my last visit that was riding out their days until retirement (pretty much said that) who was completely unprepared for my consultation. I'll drop the rest of the stars and go somewhere else if that happens again. But, I'm holding on to hope and thinking the downward trend is just an anomaly.
