I was a Patient at St Vincent Private on June 15, 2017.
I had breast reduction surgery and was terrified to be there, due to the passing of my dear friend last year at the National Maternity Hospital by medical error. I was beyond nervous and had no trust in the Medical system.
I was incredibly happy , and positively impress by the Nurse and staff at St. Vincent. From the moment I walked in I was treated with outmost respect and professionalism from Annette at first admission & changing facilities. I was there at 7.30 am and my surgery had virtually no waiting time. I was taken in by 9.30am, after talking to my surgeon, and that was it.
I woke up with lovely smiles and the kindest care of the nursing staff. Unfortunately due to the initial anaesthesia , I don't recall all of the names of the nurses and kitchen staff. However I was in June15 and was discharged June16 at 6pm. My night nurse Beth was wonderful and really regularly checked on me and never looked bothered by me calling her at times. Also lovely Monica who looked after me during the day and went out of her way to make me feel looked after. All the nurses were excellent, engaging and caring and made me feel, I was no trouble to them and encouraged me to call them all the time, if I needed too.
The food was exceptional and the kitchen assistant were so lovely and real friendly and I had no problem in receiving tea or coffee also outside food hours.
I cannot thank enough this wonderful people, that work so hard and do it with love and care , as it is suppose to be done! The Staff has restored my faith in the medical system, at least in regard St, Vincent Private. I will seek no other Hospital that, the one with this high standard.
I am recovering so well and at home, knowing that I can call at any time if I need, and I will be welcomed with professionalism, knowledge and care. I apologise to the rest of the staff I do not recall the names, but you were all wonderful!
Thank you for your help and looking after me.
