St Williams Way library is a small local library in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich. It is situated next to a primary school and close to a Health Centre and there is a small amount of free parking opposite and on the road.
They stock an adequate selection of adult and children's books. If there is a book you can't find there you can reserve it online from any other Norfolk library and it will get taken there for you to collect. If you are reserving an adult book there is a small fee for this service, but it is free for children's books. As well as books you can also hire out magazines.
They also have a good selection of CDs, DVDs and computer games for hire at very reasonable prices. They quite often have special offers on too, i.e. 2 for 1 on a Friday night.
There are a few computer terminals there which you can use to browse the internet for free. Great for anyone without access at home.
My children love going to the library here and choosing an enormous selection of books. The children's area is colourful and inviting. Every now and again they also run activities such as Bounce and Rhyme time for babies and toddlers where a member of staff leads the singing and storytelling session. During the school holidays they often run craft and storytelling events too for older children to enjoy.
If you live nearby go and check it out, just check the opening times online as it is not open all day every day. read more
