TERRIBLE SERVICE. Half the lanes were empty but yet it was still a two hour wait. The workers were rude and annoying. All they were doing we're eating and playing on their phones. The owners and manager obviously don't care about this business anymore. I only upgraded my rating to 2 stars rather than 1 because the employee was very nice and compensated somewhat for the poorly maintained facility. Our lane kept messing up the scores, stopped working 3 times, wasn't returning balls consistently. I will try the lanes at Icon next time we decide to bowl. read more

Great staff has league and oil their lanes ,have good service ,lanes black out or malfunction every once in a while but if you have patience it's not that big of a deal. Amazing read more

I use to love coming to Stadium Lanes as a kid and even in college. Brought my family through on vacation and had an overnight stay in San Angelo. Took the family and now wish we had not come here. Worst experience ever!!! Waited an hour for a lane and when we got the lane paid for 2 hours. Lady at front did not tell us they were closing in an hour. Paid for 5 people and started bowling. Pins got stuck after each person bowled and every time had to walk back to the front and tell them it was stuck. This went on for an hour of bowling and each time walking up to the front. She apologized once and said she would add some time to our 2 hours. We finished only 1 round of bowling in an hour. Started second round and after the first set they turned off lanes and said they were closing. I went to talk to the lady that worked at the counter and let her know I was disappointed, she said that they did not have any other lanes that did not have the same issues. She said they were all crap and in bad condition. She did not even say she was sorry, just said she knew it was crap and that most the lanes were like that. I then told her that we paid for 2 hours and only had 1 hour and 5 minutes of time which only equates to 30 minutes or less of actual bowling, because we had to wait for them to reset pins after each bowler. She said she could give me cards to play again at another date. I told her we were from out of town and did not live in the area anymore. She said "Oh so I guess you don't want the passes". I said "No and can I speak to a manager?" She pointed at him and said he is busy and it may be a while. I told her I would never come back and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a business!! In addition no soft drinks or food... you have to buy everything out of a vending machine now. Beer was only thing that you could buy at the counter (I guess that is worth 1 star since I can't give 0)!! Will never make this mistake again. read more

If you want to experience discrimination and entitlement you should come to this place. The treatment we got from the staff was very concerning. We were assigned a lane in the middle of an ongoing party and seeing that many lanes on the other side were open we asked if we could be assigned another lane. The girl at the counter offered another lane that was packed and told us that we had to expect to sit in between people (which for the record wasn't just sharing but would imply asking people to move). The girl's demeanor was very entitled and unhelpful. My family and I know what discrimination looks/feels like and this def looked like something wouldn't happen to other families. read more

I've bowled here 5 or 6 times, but I havent tried the restaurant, so this is a review of the bowling experience only. The lanes are in need of some repair and renovation. There are several spots where the access panels do not line up properly with the floor and it makea you think about not tripping over them rather than your approach, very disconcerting. I realize this is a west Texas bowling alley, and that the age and wear shows its character. My complaint is that they dont charge west Texas type prices to bowl. They charge top dollar to bowl at a mid to lower level alley. They are the only game in town though, if you want to get your roll on. So just bowl slower and fewer games and let the dude abide. read more

This review is just for the bowling experience. The lanes are marginal. The pins don't get reset properly and the overall atmosphere is a bit gloomy. Some of the lanes have more couch style seating which is nice (though the lanes that I was bowling on didn't have the couch seating). They do offer a military discount which is good as I was taken back by the high cost of the bowling per game. I went on Wednesday early afternoon so it was not prime time when I would expect higher rates. While I had fun, I likely won't be going back. read more

Used to be awesome to go to on Thursday nights. Raised their prices from 7 dollars to 14 dollars. 7 more dollars is expensive.

I was very disappointed tonight when my daughter and I decided to have our daddy daughter date night at your establishment on Tuesday evening. We arrived at 5p.m. We were told that the League that runs from Tuesday Friday was going to start in an hour and a half later. At that current moment the staff were only utilizing two of the lanes. I understood that staff was almost finished oiling the lanes for the League later. My daughter and I were told that there were eagues and that they couldn't open up any lanes for us. So we asked if we could wait for a lane because it was important to us. We ended up waiting for 30 min and the group of four were only 3 sets in. At that point I asked if they could pissibly open up another lane and let us bowl one game,and i promised we would be done in a half hour. The manager told me no he was not able to do anything for me except let us wait. We told the manager to page us when our turn was up, because we were going to eat while we waited at the restaurant in the bowling alley. The restaurant closed at two that day. We had to go somewhere else to eat, so I asked the manager if he could at least call or text me when our turn was up and we would come right away.The manager said no and that he could only call me over the intercom and then give my lane to the next person after five minutes. It felt like the manager was just too lazy to do anything for me. I dont know how long it takes to re-oil a lane, but im sure it doesn't take 30 min. And I really dont understand why the League players cant use a lane that has only been used for one game. I bet the profits from what I would have paid would have gone towards the oil also. I work long hours week after week and this would have been our first night to spend quality time by herself for over a year, That was why i was so disappointed, Customer service is continuously leaving the retail sectors. read more

The staff at counter was very unhelpful and refused to accommodate our party. She insisted on assigned our party to over crowded lanes despite other lanes being clearly open. Even a guy checking out asked for us to be assigned their lane as they were leaving but your staff didn't even acknowledge that. This leads me to think your staff was specifically refusing us service. I know other customers would not have been treated like we were. I felt discriminated against in your establishment. read more

Friendly service, loved the couches on our lanes, had a great time with our family here. Overall clean and welcoming. The only problem we had is with the pin setter and not resetting properly a few times. If we were in a league or if we were on our way to a 300 or something similar it would've probably been more frustrating but we were here to just have a good time as a family and Stadium Lanes was a lot of fun. read more

Awesome bowling experience! They had very comfy couches, great staff, and awesome atmosphere. We did not try the restaurant so this is just for bowling. They have about 40 or so lanes and tons of space to have a big group! Will defiantly be back. read more

I have been playing in leagues here for 4years. Unfortunately, there is no other bowling alley in San Angelo. In those 4 years nothing has been done to improve the lanes or fix broken lanes, other than adding couches to attract college students. Several lanes are uneven at the seams that run from left to right, the result is your ball bouncing and being damaged when is hits the crack. There are lanes with broken boards and cracked boards that have not been fixed in at least 4 years. Every ball I own has been damaged by the machinery or the lanes; scratches, dings, pit marks, gouges. I have thrown a 15 mph gutter ball that fell inches short of picking up a 10 pin that hit uneven construction and was launched several feet into the air. The owner has purchased a new oil machine because the last one quit working, so now he is experimenting with new oil patterns every week during the current league, which is frustrating to anyone that throws a hook. The owner is never there, and if you ask the staff when he will be there, they have no idea because he "doesn't come often." And it is obvious that he does not care about the condition of the bowling alley. For someone who brags about being old San Angelo money, he sure doesn't put his money where is mouth is to update the lanes to anything close to the 21 century, as the scoring system is from the 90's. I guess he is spending all his money trying to keep the rats out of the roof in Zentners Daughter. If there was another bowling alley within 50 miles, I would never return to stadium lanes. I am still trying to figure out what happens to all the money I have spent on leagues, because the prices keep going up and the lanes are not ever fixed or updated. read more

To me Stadium Lanes is a fantastic place to bowl. The staff is friendly and willi g ti help or answer questions you may have. Ted Smith is the manager and also runs the pro shop. He has been very helpful to me in answering my auestions on equipment and accessories that proved helpful in my bowling. He is also very knowledgable of how bowling react on lane conditions, and can recommend which balls work best on oil patterns. I would highly recommend Stadium Lanes to anyone wanting a great bowling experiance. read more
