Design: the exterior neoclassical design is quite nice, it is cozy, inviting and at the same time, elegant. Probably the best part about the hotel. The lobby is small and simple, as one would expect for a hotel in this range. The room design was also quite a simple one and was a bit cramped, but modern and nice which is contrasting to many hotels in Rothenburg that show their age and lack of upkeep. Service: at check in, they were very direct as people appear to be all around Germany. Basically, straight to the point, no chatter. The lady was kind to walk us to the room. Comfort: the room bedding was again about what one would expect, not particularly comfortable, but bearable. There is no air conditioning, which can get annoying depending on the weather. Coffee maker did not work despite many attempts. Parking is very limited. Shower was nice and hot. Overall impression, I'd stay here again as options are pretty slim in Rothenburg. However, it does have improvement areas and this design is much nicer than the old hotels around town.

All fresh juices and foods (eggs, breads, meat, cheese) and the staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. Parking was easy and the rooms themselves were comfy and large! Great decor too and the fridge is always full of drinks which you can help yourself to and they charge your room accordingly. Very inexpensive for the quality of stay we had! You could actually consider the small size of the hotel to be a good thing, since it really helps set the mood for staying in the quaint town of Rothenburg. Walking into our room, it had a level of comfort and antiquity that felt like you were maybe visiting Grandma, instead of staying at the Four Seasons - both will take care of you with much comfort and indulgence, but there's definitely a huge difference between the two. Despite the antique feel of the room, it was very comfortable, and the bathroom struck me as surprisingly modern. The staff was super friendly and helpful, above and beyond in my opinion. It was also quite a good location in the old town of Rothenburg. I also appreciated their free wi-fi access!

Interlocking wooden beams support the walls without the use of nails. He let us know that his in-laws have been coming here every year for decades. I can see why, the hotel is stunning. I added parking at 18€ per night, they have a private lot with a gentleman that takes you by golf cart. You can't access your car without this man. Driving into the walled city is quite hectic, people walking everywhere and the roads are narrow so beware. And accessing the front door of the hotel check in is done in the lane.
