The room was on the fourth floor so that says even more about how well it worked. The rooms have a bed with two small nightstands on either side and a desk with a chair. Nothing else and it's a fairly large room so it feels quite empty and lacking a place to sit. No real decorations on the walls either. This is a chain of hotels throughout Germany and possibly beyond. They have their own brewery on site and a fairly large restaurant. We checked out the restaurant menu and because it looked rather chain like and was a little more expensive than the local offering across the street we chose not to eat here so we cannot talk about their lunch or dinner offerings. We did have breakfast the morning of our departure and can say that it was fairly complete, but not quite as fantastic as the two other hotels we stayed before arriving here so it cannot compare to a five-star hotel breakfast buffet but it was very good. They do charge 1.50 € for a fried egg which is a bummer, although they had scrambled eggs on the buffet. There is a garage under the hotel and it is only five euros to park there overnight. You also get in and out privileges by using your room card. Given the partial pedestrian only square on which this hotel is located that is very useful. The 1300s Benedictine Abbey is one block away from the hotel so this is a very good location centrally located in town. On this block there are five total restaurants, one is a café that closes mid afternoon, one is the hotel restaurant, three others are local spots as well. There is also an ice cream shop that seems to do extremely well. There is always a line at the front counter. There's not much to do in this town but it is a good stop if you want to stay outside of Munich - about an hour and a half away.

Located opposite the train station in Dießen this is a reasonably big hotel with facilities for…read moredogs. Unfortunately it's too noisy due to the trains, people hanging around late by the station and so on. For what we paid for a room here it was poor value for money. We had a room next to the street and as it was really warm forcing us to keep the window open. Till late into the morning we had traffic noise, party goers, people playing music and chatting etc. That meant we had very little sleep after a full day of walking. Breakfast was ok here and staff were generally quite helpful. Beds were ok and the room was functional and clean. Breakfast was charged separately at €7 pp and extra charges for the dog. I may come back here again.

I loved it here, but there were a few functional issues…read more For one, because of the lack of A/C, rooms and public areas can get pretty warm when a crowd gathers -- even with windows cracked open. Speaking of which, the windows are neat-o; they can be cracked open toward the top or fully opened via the side-hinge. I loved them. We stayed in the Classic Room, located on the second level at the front of the building. It was one of the larger suites in the hotel, consisting of three rooms, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room. The couch in the living room folded out into another bed. The rooms also came with ample closet space, two writing desks, numerous chairs, and a television. Everything was new, sleek, and modern. But the best features were the windows -- there were roughly five in all and the spanned the entire outer wall. When all were opened, the breeze was glorious. Due to the heat, we kept the windows cracked open through the night, and though there was a little traffic noise throughout the night, it didn't keep us from getting a good night's rest. There weren't any bugs that flew in either. Yay! If you're looking at amenities, this place has a fair amount. Downstairs, you'll find a fitness center and sauna. There's a wet sauna and a dry sauna; connected to the room is also a relaxation room. It's perfect for an after-workout detox session. However, there seems to be a leaking issue because we found puddles of water everywhere downstairs. Note: the sauna downstairs closes early -- around 9pm, I think. The bathroom was nice; everything was very white. Lol. I have no complaints aside from the fluctuating water temperature in the shower -- it'll be the perfect temperature one moment, and then turn either into a burning inferno or an artic bath in the span of a minute. I didn't get much of a chance to explore the surrounding area, but there seems to be a lot of local businesses ans offices nearby.

The design of the interior is very nice, art touched. The room we got (for 4) was enormous, very clean, comfortable beds and pillows with nice balcony facing of the back yard, very quiet. The hotel has nice roof terrace with sofa's where you can relax at. The restaurant is also good looking. The food is very delicious. The only one think we did not like was that there was only one waiter (even the restaurant was not full, at least should be two of them, to keep the level of the service that corresponds with the property.
