Finished around 1330, it offers a panorama well worth the 329-step climb to the top......or so I'm told. We were unable to climb due to parents w/ mobility challenges & us kids not wanting to leave them alone There are 16 ginormous bells w/ 1 reported to be 750 years old & is one of Germany's oldest bells. Ringing can be heard throughout the city & we were told that at a certain time of the day, "We call it the Spaetzle Bell. It rings at 11am on Fridays to tell us it's time to put the water on to cook the Spaetzle noodles for lunch" Very cute!

However, it turned out that that church was across the river, so unfortunately it felt as if my trip to Strasbourg sort of hit a bit of a dead end. However, all was not lost because I did think that this church was quite nice, and like a number of other protestant churches around the area, they still have the art inside as well, something that I certainly appreciated.
