I had an extremely negative experience with Monica. It was the complete opposite of the great reviews I saw on yelp. It started off good but when it came time to destage the house it took a really bad turn. She told me she needed 5 days notice which I was ok with. I asked for confirmation and she said in text that it would be done by Tuesday. In the meantime I scheduled movers on my own to come on Wednesday to move the items that were mine. On Wednesday while we were almost at the house I received a text from her saying she lost my address. Obviously she had not cleared her stuff on Tuesday as promised. When we arrived to the house her movers had not shown up yet so I asked her if she can clear her sheets off my two beds so my movers can start disassembling them. I saw her throw her sheets down from upstairs where they landed right on the stairs. I moved them aside so they weren't in the way. A short while later she comes accusing us of landing a foot print on the sheets. That is when I told her that first she should have cleared the house the day before as promised so we would not be getting in each other's way. She never apologized nor took ownership of what she promised. She then started claiming how she wants to charge me more now because the job was more difficult than she thought. I told her she has already been paid in full for what she quoted in writing. Things quickly escalated to the point where she said she was gonna call the police and accused me of being rude because she was a woman! I finally told her to just finish her job and leave ASAP. Later I get a phone call from my agent that she had called title company and claiming a lien for $1300 in unpaid fees. I have her quote on paper and also the copy of the cashiers check showing payment in full. She had placed the closing of my house in jeopardy without any regard for common business practices. If she believes the job warranted a higher fee she should have at least discussed it and gotten my agreement. She did not bring it up until the moment I called her out for not fulfilling her promise. Selling a house and relocating is already a stressful process. Instead of helping reduce the stress she is adding a great deal to it and putting the sale of my house at risk. I would have still been ok if she just not made an issue with the foot print on the sheets. The irony is I was planning to give her a good review up until today. What a shame. read more
