Prices felt higher than what we usually see at other Suffolk County nurseries, though we didn't buy anything to compare directly. What really stood out was the lack of service. The parking lot was full, but it was hard to find anyone actually working or available to help. If you're after perennials, boxwoods, or larger Japanese maples, Forge River has had a much better selection in our experience.

The apples were crisp and juicy and super sweet (although a few of them did attract wasps before I caught on and put socks on them) and the peaches... oh gosh, the peaches were fragrant and super juicy. Once you walk in it's like you're in a different world. They have all kinds of plants, flowers - local and tropical. I saw some really awesome terrariums. They have a Hobbit inspired one, Star Wars, The Little Mermaid and other fairy gardens! I was mesmerized the whole time. I ended up buying a 3 tiered fountain, herbs and small statues. As I was paying, i saw some things I really wanted and went and got them...a birdcage, gourmet soups and a garden decoration. If you're a garden, plant lover, you'd better be ready to spend! There was no holding me back that day. If I could, I'd buy everything!!! Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. What's great is that everyone who shops there all know each other. As I was being helped by Jackie (I think that's her name) 3 women came and talked up their fountains and how much they loved theirs. Everyone was so pleasant, informative and friendly. Lots of activities and it doesn't cost anything to enter, but each activity does cost a few coin. Face painting was $10, I believe the "gold digging" demo was $6 (and there is a sign that suggests you do the other activities before getting your face painted as the paint might not last, which I appreciated). Food was available for purchase and I got a roasted corn that I was forced to split with the kid. The corn wasn't that sweet but still sufficed. I didn't get to look at the plants or any of the nursery items but I will def head back there when in the area when it's time to start planting.

I should have brought them a sample in the first place pure laziness on my part. Vinny their driver turned around went back to the yard unloaded, reloaded and came directly back to my house with the right item.
