The food is amazing, the waiters are really kind, the place is neat and modern, the quantity is is big and your stomach will be more than satisfied. Absolutely stunning decoration inside the restaurant. Good location and good service As it comes to food, I have mixed comments; artichoke appetizer was the biggest disappointment for that place. It was overcooked and almost no meat to enjoy the artichoke leaves. Small flat bread is actually "very small" but taste OK. Ceviche was little bit dry but the presentation was perfect. And my last but the best out of these 3 starter was Steak Roll! It is a steak sushi and taste really good. Their best tasting food was the Steak. We were looking for a place to eat in the centre of Utrecht. We found this place, directly on the main place, which has some tables outside and many tables inside. Even if the good weather, we decided to go inside. It is surprisingly wide inside, many tables well spaced and nicely furnished. Speaking of food, I took a Stan's burger, which were absolutely fantastic: meat well cooked, salad and pecorino cheese. I am really enthusiast of that. My wife took a a broodje with porc meat and some sauces really delicious. So, we will surely go back there, next times! read more

Wow. I'd walked by Stan&Co so many times thinking "oh, I still really want to try that place" and never found the time to actually do it. Now, anyone who knows me, knows I'm really into great food so when my childhood neighbour(/kind of my little sister) and I made plans for lunch, she said "you know good food and even though I live here, I don't know Utrecht, so you pick a place". I immediately went for my bookmark list on Yelp and soon enough I found Stan&Co, sent her a text and badabing badaboom, lunch plans were made. When we got there it was rainy and horrible outside but Stan has you covered with a great tented terrace. We decided to go inside anyway and check out the place, wow, is it huge! Or at least a lot bigger than we'd both expected. Service started off well with immediately being brought an extra menu (there's already one lying on the table) and our drink order being taken. Drinks come, we haven't decided on lunch yet, so we continue browsing the (fairly extensive) menu. Of course being friends (GIRLS!!!) we look at the menu, chat, drink, chat even more, etcetera, but that doesn't mean it should take another fifteen minutes for someone to come and take our lunch order. I'm not sure if it was that long, probably longer, but drinks had been finished... Anyway, apart from things taking a while all the staff here is very friendly. The food and drinks: I love that they make their own iced green tea which is all the rage now, but basically just delicious and as for the food... portions. We both ordered a salad and they were huge! I was lucky (stupid) enough not to have had breakfast yet, but after this salad I didn't even bother with dinner in the evening either! Seriously huge salads! I recommend ordering one salad with two people or maybe asking if they'll do a half sized salad. But besides that, a seriously delicious salad that I enjoyed every bite of. Overall I think I'd like to try more of Stan to be willing to commit to a five star review. Right now they're definitely at 4.5 stars because the food was delicious, I appreciate home made iced tea (home made anything actually) and the interior design is amazing! However, portions are disproportionate, service was a bit slow this time and I have no clue as to what other dishes on the menu are like. So Stan&Co, I'll be back and I'd love to see you deserve that fifth star! read more

Okay bar and restaurant. A bit large, noisy and maybe a little too much of the hipster, industrially decorated vibe.

Stan & Co is clearly one of those places that was built around a formula. Its interior feigns the look of effortless 'cool': outside seating for a quick drink, cozy diner-like seating for dinner and high tables with stools for everything in between. The menu is equally well-designed, covering pretty much every taste preference. Similarly, Stan & Co sports a varied and inspired wine (we had a lovely rosé and pinot noir) and (local) beer selection. The food doesn't disappoint in its taste or creativity. Though a tad too heavy on the coconut, their curry was tasty and contained a nice mix of veggies (not enough sweet potato). Their chicken wings were well-made as well, featuring pieces of chorizo for an occasional burst of flavor. It's unfortunate that the menu didn't mention either the coconut or the fact that the chicken was wings/legs, but that's a small omitted blemish on an otherwise great experience (their service is attentive and congenial). In short, Stan & Co is in idea that was well thought out and carefully constructed. read more

I came here as a result of the reviews on Yelp! However I wish I hadn't bothered. The place is big inside and the decor is nice. Service was good. But the menu is totally uninspiring and I found it a bit strange. A strange choice of dishes spread out in a confusing manner on the large menu card. The interior screams "burger joint" but sadly there's not a burger in sight. Instead a mix of dishes from different countries, non of them done particularly well. I choose the Jambalaya which quite tasteless and watery, my dining partner choose the Ramen which hardly had any noodles and was just a watery soup. Neither were tasty or satisfying. The deserts are also a strange mixed bag and virtually nothing of any interest. Overall we were very disappointed, especially as we walked past many restaurants that all looked great just to get here. Not recommended! read more

Really liked the interior. American looking with all the booths. Their menu is kinda interesting. Nothing really popped out that we were excited about to try. We ordered the onion soup which wasn't that good. It lacked flavor and was very blend. We also had the pork belly which I really enjoyed. Would def come back to try more of their food. read more

Like other reviewers have said, this awful place is completely dishonest. They lie on the menu and claim that each meal comes with fries an salad. I visited in a group of three and they provided only one portion of fries - about 18 in total, 6 each, plus one tiny salad. The manager was extremely rude and disinterested. Avoid this awful, dishonest, over-priced place at all costs. read more

I visites this place three times, but unfortunately every experience was a little worse. First the positive part: the ambience is absolutely great. The place looks really nice and the vibe is very relaxed. Also, they serve very nice coffee. Secondly the so-so part: the first two times the food was quite good for the money you pay. But the last time I visited, I ordered the burger. The bun was extremely dry and the burger was half burned. I was too hungry to send it back, and it might have been possible I was just unlucky this time. But then the bad part and the reason I won't be coming here again any time soon: the service is terrible. I feel it's because of bad management and clumsiness, because the staff is friendly enough, but it has been bad with every visit. Our first visit we were sitting right next to the servicing counter, so every waiter passed us very often, but it seemed impossible to get their attention to serve us. We ultimately had to get up and go get someone to order drinks, and then again to order food, they mixed up our orders and it took forever before we received our food. The second time, when we walked up to a staff member to be seated, another customer interrupted us and he then went along and talked to the customer and seated him first. Then he came to our table up to three times with orders not meant for us. The last time, we happened to sit close to the kitchen and we watched our burgers sit on the counter for nearly ten minutes without anyone serving it to us. We almost felt like grabbing it ourselves, but ended up asking a waiter for it. It turned out we couldn't be served yet, because the French fries weren't ready yet. Obviously they could have already served the burger, or the kitchen should do better planning. So I'm done with this place now, there's plenty of nicer places in the city to have food. read more

Bad food: the steak was bad and the pasta was a big tasteless ball. Terrible service: We ordered a vegetarian dish and they simply served a dish with meat. Not LGBT friendly, we were told to behave "appropriately" by the waiter, while we were simply behaving like two regular people on a date. Completely overpriced and pretentious. All in all a bad choice for a restaurant in a city that has so many better options. read more
