CONSULTATION/SURGERY DAY: Surgery day.. the NERVES!! If this is you, keep reading. I HATE the dentist and hate getting my teeth worked on. I was nervous also because of the mixed reviews on here, do not let that deter you. Read them with a grain of salt.. I expressed my fears/concerns to staff and despite probably hearing from every patient how nervous they are, they were kind, quick to listen AND reassured me I was in good hands. The consultation was quick and to the point. DON'T get in your head! This is truly not a thing you need to be nervous of. *if you have super high anxiety that's not controlled then you should already be looking elsewhere-save yourself time and tell them on the phone appointment!* SURGERY: I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and am almost 30 years old. One tooth was wrapped up in nerves etc. however Dr. Farbod is the BEST person for the job. His skill level backs up all of the credentials and degrees. Incredibly smart man and detail oriented. He is fast, and gets to the point. In his line of work, this is great. TRUST the process! If you have anxiousness over this let me tell you right now, take a deep breath because you are not only in good hands, but you'll make it through this and be better off. I wish my son would have told me about this when it happened nine months ago. He just told me a few weeks ago. I would not recommend Facial Surgery Institute, very very disppointing, to say the least. I do not know if anything can be done about it now. I just hope the doctor can get his act together and stop it.

I called the Negaunee office and they were able to get me in that morning. Andrew Ekdahl was the dentist who took care of me. He was so very conscientious about getting the crown to fit right. They offered to do ex-rays, but I told them I haven't had any problems, and I will be home in 2 weeks and have a dentist appointment coming up, so I'd just rather have it put back on. They did not chart my probing accurately, did not address the reason I came in, then cleaned 1/2 my mouth for 166.00 after insurance. The dentist supposedly saw my X-rays, there was no exam. When I did see him he told me I looked like the Charlie perfume model after looking at my X-rays. He did not examine me. In what world is that appropriate or relevant? If he was referring to my age he was about a decade off. I gave 2 stars because the assistants and hygienist were nice, appropriate, and knowledgeable. They took an entire set of X-rays, which I will ask for to take to another office (which anyone can do, FYI).

Very unprofessional. 8 months and I am still trying to get the billing done correctly, so many…read morephone calls and it still is not corrected. They didn't bill my insurance and then sent a claim to a debt collector after only a month and never reached out for me for the insurance info again. They also said they were "swamped" and that they couldn't file an insurance claim again. False, I had to finally do a 3 way call with the insurance company to get Aspen to bill them. It's been a nightmare and I still don't have my reimbursement from them bc they sent the wrong x-rays twice! The only positive I have for Aspen is they got me in quickly and the tooth extraction went well. Oh and the office manager has taken my calls but the results are disappointing. I would stay away from ANY Aspen Dental as they are managerially incompetent.
