We exchanged a lot of information on what we were looking for and he was very good about letting us what the company can do for us. They have a good selection of examples on the floor to choose from and he was very good about explaining how things could be modified or varied. Friendly staff still using catalogs to purchase special orders. Family owned and operated just takes a while to get back to the stone to engrave it with names and date dates. Quality stone. Can't speak of value because how often are you purchasing or shopping around for a headstone for your family grave. read more

I called Stanley Granite a couple of months ago to get a quote on engraving grave markers, and had an appointment a couple of weeks later to drop off the markers and process the order. Staff were very busy, and working under covid related protocols and pressures, but we eventually discussed what I wanted done. They sent a draft of the engravings, and later incorporated the changes that I wanted added. They were very attentive to what I wanted done. They had the markers ready in the time frame that they said it would be and kept me informed when they were done. They delivered the markers to the cemetery. The markers looked great, all the more important because they were for my Grandparents. We appreciate all that the Stanley Granite family did to get the markers done. read more

My Grandmother visited Stanley Granite Monument to buy a stone for my Grandfather. These purchases are obviously made quickly and shopping around usually doesn't happen. Stanley Granite DOUBLE CHARGED my Grandmother for a head stone. Last week, which is 5 months after my Grandfather's death...we stopped by another grave stone company and asked for a quote on a comparable stone...the stone was half the price of what we paid at Stanley Granite Monument. Do not give your business to this company. They basically stole thousands from my vulnerable Grandmother. read more

There are a few other choices around the state in Cranston/Warwick and warren. Go with them. Use Stanley if you want to be treated like dirt at the most vulnerable time in your life. Or if you like someone yelling at you over the phone about their own mistake. One of the owners doesn't remember anything about your discussions. If you must use them, get it ALL in writing. She is unkind and forgetful and will bully you when you have no fight. In all my years, I have never spent so much money on one item, and been treated like they were doing me the favor. For a business that provides a service to people when they are at their physical and emotional lowest. I would equate this experience to going to Lowe's and buying a hammer. The woman who took our order just wrote everything down on the order slip and NEVER made one suggestion about what might look aesthetically better. When the stone was finally delivered there was a mistake regarding the font and the size of the lettering on the last line. Their attitude was that of that's what we wrote down so that's what you received. NEVER AGAIN. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE! For a company in the funeral business, they show no empathy or caring for customers walking in to view a headstone for their loved ones final resting place. I took my mother to Stanley's to view headstones for my fathers grave. When my mother walked in, a man, who I assume is the owner, looked at her. She asked him if they were still open (it was 12:15 on a sat) and his reply was " I'm still standing here aren't i?"... Wow.. What a nice greeting for someone in mourning! Then we asked if we could look around and he said "I guess".. We told him we already had something in mind, but it would have a custom design, I asked if that would be ok and his reply was " you can have anything you want, but it's going to cost you!" Again, wow!! I then told my mom I wanted to leave. Other things were said that were rude... But my focus is on the fact that he show any caring, empathy or even reassurance that this incredibly important purchase would be done with care! Please do not honor this business with such an important purchase... Find a business that truly cares. read more

the person who did the engraving used the back of the headstone for a trash can leaving the rubber template he used. the flowers that where on the stone where thrown over to the next headstone I guess there no respect for the dead. read more

I found this company on the Internet since I lived in Colorado but needed a cemetery monument in RI. Their customer service and responsiveness exceeded my expectations.
