Well he's back for now and that's a good thing as I don't have to go looking for a new interventional cardiologist.

The staff moves patient along with efficient. The front office check in was straightforward. I can definitely see that the practice is thriving and busy (and this is very reassuring). I would recommend if there are peoplw strapped for time to perhaps get the first appointment of the day. Out appt was 8:30 am and left 10:00. On the way out, the waiting room was PACKED!!! Also, to be fair, when there are other people who were called in earlier (when you checked in EARLIER than them) most likely they are seeing other providers (the office has several nurse-practitioner). I personally do prefer to wait for the physicians.

We explained to the PCP the situation he redirected us to this location after we expressed the urgency of the matter and for the sole reason it needed to be done for an upcoming surgery that had to be rescheduled due to the cardiology clearance piece. We were pressed for time. The office staff was not empathetic to our needs they treated my mom as a number they didn't care this was an urgent matter the PCP called for a peer to peer to get the clearance they said "they are busy and dont have any appointments" They proceeded to say they can only see her the day before the surgery, a week and a day after the test late appt as well end of day almost (3pm) to give her the stress test results. They also lied and said they called City of Hope were she was having her surgery and they were ok getting the results the day before surgery. i called to confirm and they never got a call from this place. As a result now my moms surgery has been delayed again! They were not resourceful, empathetic, or caring. If it weren't because our hands are tied at the moment i would not continue the test here. But if you have a loved one that needs immediate attention. I don't recommend you take them here. What a let down after reading all the great reviews. Do better!!

I went to Dr. Yee's office on a Friday as a drop in for an EKG for possible pre-op bariatric…read moresurgery because I was had made prior appointments in the past and was unable to make them due to mobility issues because of a knee injury. If you similar issues and need accomodations, either have someone drop you off and park or go with a different provider. Because of this office's location on Garfield there is one sole handicap parking spot right at the rear entrance and there is a somewhat steep tiled incline right as you step into the office from the back door (not sure how anyone on a wheel chair would navigate that safely). I was on crutches due to a knee injury and had to inch my way precariously down this incline and pray my crutch didn't slip and that I'd fall. There was a worker from the office coming behind me that kind of spotted me until I made it down which was nice of her to do. The office is oblong so the hallway to the front is fairly long. As I walked down the hallway on my crutches I passed doors to various exam rooms, storage rooms and rooms that looked like storage rooms that doubled as exam rooms or vice versa. Along the way I asked to use the restroom and upon observation, it was pretty gnarly. There no toilet seat covers, there was old equipment including a decrepit wheel chair in there against the wall and the cleanliness of the floor was questionable. There was cleaning products (Kaboom!) in a corner on the floor. In a nutshell, with the exception of the waiting room which was I would give a grade of C for passing, the rest of the office I would grade as a D- as it was generally unclean, outdated and poorly maintained. It reminded me of what a doctor's office in a 3rd world country might look like. I wondered if I was being too picky but I read other reviews that also mention the poor state of the office so I don't think it's just me. After being told it would be a two hour wait, because of my experience/observations of the office thus far and the precarious state of my knee (I have good and bad days), instead of biting the bullet and waiting to get the EKG done, I decided to call my surgeon's office and see if I could request another cardiologist with a more accessible, clean, updated and accommodating office within my IPA network (and I was successful). My review only reflects my experience of the actual office and its atmosphere solely and is not a reflection of any experience with Dr. Yee as I did not stay to meet with him. I also don't really have anything negative to say about the staff either.

Doctor tae has been a great doctor and definitely he can get mad at you if you don't follow his advice. There's been some days here and there where I didn't agree when he did some testings and said that he didn't find anything. Unfortunately, I have had strokes in the past and notttt fun. Doctor kept saying "he didn't think mine was a stroke and said it was something else." Hospital doctors and neurologist doctors stated it was a stroke what I had. I was back and forth trying to tell Dr tae how everything happened, but he didn't want to believe me. He's a very nice doctor with a strong attitude and funny of course, but I have had my disagreements with him which is sad. I really do like him it's just that I wished he would try a little harder to be more attentive and caring for the patients. He had Asked me to be on certain medications for years, but I was previously told that being on a specific medication for so long can also cause other issues so I stopped. I told Doctor tae & he got upset because I wasn't taking the meds. Some services can be good and others bad. The Asian Nurses know me so well because I've been coming here for years & they have been so nice and sweet to me. Once again doctors services are different every single time I go see him so you never know what to expect from the won that day. 1 thing I doooo like is that they open Saturdays so if you work during the week and can't make it you have the option to schedule an appointment for a Saturday and if you do need to pay them it's CASH ONLY nooo cards accepted.

Wow. Just wow... Let me first say that I am a long time…read morepatient of Dr Lee (at Pasadena location), who is very professional, kind and I trust him. But, today I called the office in Pasadena to follow up on a prescription issue. So, yeah... I got annoyed when the "nurse" Ana tells me twice that when I change pharmacies I need to make sure to let them know. Well, I changed pharmacies 3 years ago, notified the office staff 2 times since then, what more do I need to do? For some reason, "nurse" Ana felt the need to repeat to me that I need to let them know when I change pharmacies to avoid issues like the one I called about today. I told her that this error was not my fault, as I had notified the staff at their office previously a few times already. I repeated this was not my fault. Well, something about that made her lose it. She was already short and rude with me to start, but at this point she yells at me (as if I was her child or something) that she did not say it was my fault and that I need to listen to her and then all I heard was "blah blah blah"... because it was taking every ounce of my energy to not yell right back at her. I asked her to not yell at me. Then in a softer tone said she wasn't yelling and that she was only trying to tell me that I need to let them know when I change pharmacies. So, now I felt like I was trapped in a bad episode of Seinfeld or something. I was upset because she yelled at ME, when THEY were the ones who made a mistake, didn't notice that I had changed pharmacies a long time ago, and they were faxing the wrong pharmacy because of their own oversight. Do you think I got an "I'm sorry"... nope. In fact, I'm pretty sure she cussed me out after we hung up the phone. Ooo she was mad! I sure hope someone at the office reads this, because someone needs to have a talk with "nurse" Ana. She either hates her job, is a miserable woman taking it out on others, or needs some anger management. Or... she may not realize that she is in a customer service role (as a nurse, no less) where I am her customer (a patient, who's blood pressure may be a little higher after being yelled at) and she needs to remain calm and empathetic in her job! Oh, and, by the way... Ana: if you ever yell at me again, I will yell at you right back next next time and let it out on you directly, rather than vent on Yelp. Good day!
