4/16/18 I wish I had read reviews online before calling this law firm. I want to cover all bases, Binghamton AND Montrose. Beware!! I had a very serious car accident July 13th, 2016. A guy in a pickup truck (high or drunk) ran a red light at an intercession. He hit my Honda Fit with such force, it pushed me all the way across to the side walk on the other side, I had to have someone call ambulance service. When I finally got out of my car doubled over in pain, the guy got out of his truck and lit a cigarette. I said, "you ran a freaking red light!" he replied, "i thought it was green." There were no skid marks on the road. He didn't even try to stop. Nothing happened to his truck. The side of my car and front bumper were smashed in. After I got out of the ambulance, everyone was gone. The cop came over to me and said, "Were you texting? Because he said that you ran the light." I told him to check my phone, I was not doing anything but driving. I've never had one accident in my life of 30 years of driving! After going to the ER and finding that I had substantial injuries that could have killed me, and ended up on crutches, I immediately called STANLEY LAW because they advertise that they are compassionate and go after the bad guy. I met with them and they said they will go to the accident scene and check it out, get the video from the traffic light and from Gault Chevrolet (the car company right on the corner of the accident scene and the place where this loser worked). After 6 months of ongoing Urgent Care visits, ER visits, doctor visits, and specialists, xrays, this gram and that gram, submitting all of the paper work, having to rent cars out of my own expense because Car Star kept my car for 45 days and the insurance pays only 30 days (please see my review of Vestal NY Car Star on YELP), Stanley Law never did anything. Then never came to the crime scene, never retrieved the videos, nothing. They kept handing the case around to different people. I would call and call to find out what was going on. WARNING: It will be 2 years this July 13th, a few months from now, and they called me back 3 times ONLY. I have my phone records. Also, after a year had passed, they send me a letter asking me to submit all of my paper work again and medical bills from the accident. I was livid. Finally last week, after a straight 8 months calling without a call back, I told the secretary who answered the phone, I'm filing a complaint to Joe Stanley to let him know how wrong it is to treat people like he dose who are suffering and have lost quality of life, to ignore them after they call and beg to be updated about their case. After that call, I got a letter in the mail immediately telling me that I can't collect person injury after all because I was not working and didn't lose any money gain. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
