5-STARS!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!…read more What an amazing experience I had at the Falls Church office! Everyone was so kind, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The office is clean, modern and comfortable. It even has a small coffee bar while you are waiting. This was my first visit to this practice. Check-in was a breeze and they took me back quickly. Thank you to Alex for your help, knowledge and information regarding my insurance. You were very thorough. I felt so comfortable and confident after speaking with you about it over the phone. You also gave perfect instructions on your location and where to park. You were very welcoming when I arrived. Thank you for the smooth and friendly check-in! Madi took me back for my appointment. She was so kind, courteous and efficient with the preliminary questions. Dr. Rostami was amazing. He was thorough, informative and kind. He had a friendly and warm "bedside manner." I felt very comfortable speaking with him and hearing his assessment. He was also very gentle during the examination. When patients are in pain, it is nice to have someone who understands that and helps you feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for your help! Christina was there to take my paperwork at check-out. She was super friendly and sweet. Thank you everyone for such an amazing experience! Having any kind of dental/oral appointment can be daunting and scary for people. This office makes you feel like family. I am so grateful I found them. I will definitely be back.

Everyone was nice (from the front office to everyone behind the scenes). My surgeon and his assistant put me at ease even though such a minor situation. They were very understanding of my nervousness. They were patient with my questions and concerns. Office and back rooms were clean. I got there early, and they were able to bring me back within ten minutes of me getting there. Definitely would go to this practice/office again.

In a dental cleaning, I don't react well with the mint toothpaste and I ask for an alternative flavor toothpaste and he says no. I got traumatized going to him as a child. He finished my cleaning for 20 minutes which is not enough and he made my gums bleed easily which they are not supposed to be bleeding. My teeth didn't look that clean at all. I was in so much pain that I almost ended up going to dental emergency visits in different dental clinics since he caused all of this. The average dental cleaning is 30 to 60 minutes which is the standard in a dental clinic depending on where you go to. He will tell you to avoid eating and drinking for 1 hour which is very unnecessary and in a lot of dental clinics, the dental hygienists and dentists don't tell you to eat and drink for 1 hour. They allowed you to eat and drink after you finished your dental exam and dental cleaning which is how it works in a dental practice. He doesn't know of how to run a dental clinic. His English isn't really good at all. I speak really good English. This makes it harder for a provider to communicate with a patient due to a language barrier. His dental office doesn't look appealing at all with 4 seats which is so little since it is a very small private practice. He doesn't renovate his dental clinic at all like most dental clinics do. He doesn't communicate with all the dental clinics that he sends patients to like most general dentists do if they refer a patient. He will not answer your questions at all about your dental health like most dentists do with their patients. He has an expired Listerine mouthwash sitting on the counter. He doesn't have no patience at all with pediatric patients at all and he doesn't feel comfortable and have patience with patients who have sensory issues to dental procedures or have special needs. He could have mention to me and my parents that he doesn't specialize in pediatric dentistry, special needs dentistry; and doesn't have much that experience and training with patients who have sensory issues to dental procedures and instead go see a pediatric dental clinic or a dental clinic that specializes in both general or family dentistry and pediatric dentistry and also, find a dental clinic who specializes in special needs dentistry or have experience with patients who have sensory issues to dental procedures. His dental assistant is nice and she was not well trained at all to handle patients who have sensory issues to dental procedures and also with dental anxiety. There has been many cases now these days of parents wanting to request for their child to get a female dentist in a pediatric dental clinic or in a general/female dental clinic because they are worried that male dentists can be too harsh on pediatric patients which can cause them to have dental anxiety. It usually depends on the dentist that they get which is randomized meaning that you either get a dentist who is gentle or a dentist who is harsh. There has been many female dentists who are in the dental field now. It is getting popular now. This isn't a real dental clinic. This is a dental clinic where you get your teeth cleaned harshly by this dentist. I don't recommend cheap dental clinics especially this one. Go to expensive dental clinics instead because they have better quality of tools and equipment. You can always ask to be put in a payment plan if you cannot afford to pay the full amount of dental procedures which is what I like. Avoid this dentist at all cost.

After the confrontation, we went over the billing to my insurance and the lady said this is all the doctor will do and this is what your insurance will pay. Stupid of me to believe a person is able to do their job but she explicitly left out big charges such as removal of a tooth, consultation charges and other miscellaneous charges. My interesting is that it cannot be this colossal of a mistake and she purposely did this to show me lower charge. After completing the surgery they bill me and guess what, they added major items, like removal of the tooth they were supposed to get out along other items. On top of that, i called the billing department and the lady lied to my face saying this was all billed to the insurance during the consultation and she will send me the proof. What she sent me is proving they did not send the full charges to the insurance. There's a bunch of good doctors out there and this one is not worth it just because of their incompetent billing department in the arlington office.

My dentist referred me to Dr Corcoran to have them removed, so I called and made an appointment for consultation. I was able to get in the same week, and the receptionist patiently explained all the location and time options I had. I was nervous about my consultation. I had never had any kind of surgery in my life, and I didn't know how much damage my wisdoms were in for. Dr Corcoran came in, and assuming he's met many nervous patients, he immediately calmed my nerves with a few awesome dentist jokes. He showed me the X-ray, explained everything that would be done, and I left feeling great about it. I got on board, and scheduled the real appointment for a couple weeks later. Fast forward to today; I had all four wisdom teeth removed, 1 of which was impacted, the rest simple extractions. I got the works with the laughing gas and the general anesthesia, and when I woke up an hour later, huzzah...no wisdom teeth. Surprisingly, I am in no pain despite having taken only 2 Advil right after the surgery. The numbness has gone away, and I have some swelling on the impacted side, but no pain. Huh. Dr Corcoran even called me at 9pm to see how I was doing. He noted that I sounded awfully chipper, and expressed that I should continue to take care of my wounds, even with no pain. How incredibly thoughtful of the guy to call me long after the workday is over, to make sure I wasn't dying or allergic to the antibiotics. My husband said that right after surgery I told him, "Gosh I feel great, I wish I felt this way all the time!" I think that means Dr Corcoran is doing something exactly right.

I asked him if he accepted my Delta Dental PPO plan, he said that he would. It turns out he is not part of the PPO doctor network and so my plan only covered a small portion of the bill. For his unecessarily advanced x-ray machine and a routine cleaning he charged over $700. Not only did Mr. Mortazie mislead me about insurance, tack on as much expense as possible, but he also sculpted the WRONG tooth. I had come in to just get a chip smoothed out in my tooth. He fixed that tooth but at the same time proceeded to sculpt my incisor (which had nothing wrong). I believe that he simply missed my one tooth and then tried to cover it up by continuing to sculpt my incisor. I called him to question his methods and he blew me off and sent me a bill and a copy of some agreement form that binds me to pay regardless. Mr. Mortazie runs a scam of an office where there is no office manager, assistant, or billing department. Mr. Mortazie has no secretary (he does it all). You never have any recourse because he does not belong to any association of Virginia dentists (I've checked). The only reason I would ever walk into his office again would be to serve him a malpractice lawsuit.

He has a very soft hand and the anxiety I always feel at the dentist does not happen to me there because of his calming disposition. He uses all the latest technologies and has the computer assisted implant process, which is something I was specifically looking for since it is one of my front teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Mortazie for anybody that is looking for a dentist with experience and that can handle a complicated dental situation.

The implant was placed in my jaw crooked, so, when my dentist placed the abutment and crown on, the tooth looked very misaligned with wide gaps on either side, sticking out dramatically toward my cheek. I have had chronic problems with my gums around it and shooting pain when I chew that throbs for hours afterward. Unfortunately, we are military and no longer live there and have a different dental plan now, so I have no recourse through insurance. Additionally, I am having to have that implant replaced with a custom abutment and new crown to try to correct all the problems, costing us close to $1000 out of pocket in addition to what I originally paid Dr. Favagehi for the implant work. This was my first implant and crown, so I had no idea what to expect or how it should look. In the interim, I had a different implant on another molar done by a dentist in Texas that is perfect and has caused zero problems. It's been a bit frustrating to say the least. Chronic pain is no fun. I don't even chew on that side anymore and have heat and cold sensitivity around that implant. It must go. I think they should refund me my out-of-pocket expenses for that bad implant at a minimum. And it would be most appropriate to cover my current additional expenses to repair it as well. That would be the ethical thing to do. When you pay thousands of dollars for dental work, it should be right or they should fix it for free. I shouldn't have to suffer AND pay double for their error. Caveat emptor.
