I have been to other PTs in Pittsburgh that thought shame would work as a therapy tactic, didn't give clear guidance of how long we'd be working together, and didn't do some of the basics like measuring my legs before starting PT. When I got to PTN, it was like a breath of fresh air. Mike was super upfront with me about the amount of therapy sessions needed, what every week would look like, and the results we could expect. They went above and beyond with treatment and spent so much time with me every session. They are truly focused on excellence and results. They are also so flexible if I needed to change my appointment time or if traffic made it so I was a few minutes late. Seriously, they're the best! Every week I showed up and was reminded how strong I was and that I was going to feel better soon. I'm 9 weeks into therapy (it's my last week) and I'm going to be really sad to not see the folks at PTN every week. But, as predicted, I'm walking without pain and have all of the skills to continue moving through life pain-free which is the absolute best outcome. I've been seeing them for 3 months following a major sports injury, then re-injury, and they are unlike any other PT I've been to. The practice is all individual treatment rooms surrounding the equipment and machine area, so it is very private for most of your appointment. Much of your time is spent with them doing hands-on techniques, and they switch it up depending upon what you need that day. Sounds pretty simple I know, but that's not how it always works at many physical therapy practices. You don't just go in and do your exercises and see the PT for five minutes at the end like a PT factory. Ridgeview truly cares about their patients, you can feel it and see it. They use a combination of exercises, stretching and electrical stimulation. I believe I attended 3 times a week for about 8 to 10 weeks each time. They also gave me exercises and stretches to do at home which I still do. Both times, the issues were completely resolved. I am currently attending for a fall that occurred in October 2022. I injured my right leg. I broke the cuboid bone in my foot and am still experiencing pain. I'm also been experiencing pain in my right knee and hip. I've been attending for about the last month but because of commitments, not able to attend as regularly as I'd like, but It is feeling better already.
