Turns out I only was getting 10% air flow through my left nostril from an incident in the early 90's. We tried non-surgical treatments throughout the summer that did not make much of a dent. Opted for septoplasty in early December (I travel for work; needed the holiday season to be able to avoid flying for 3 weeks). Procedure went smoothly. I had heard horror stories about the recovery process. Perhaps because I was anchored on how bad it would be, was very pleasantly surprised. The 5 or so days while the packing and stints were still in place were uncomfortable, but never painful. Sleep was difficult. The hardest thing was halting exercise/activities for 3 weeks afterwards. Just had my 8 week checkup and everything is looking great. Enjoying being able to breathe normally for the first time in my adult life. Thanks Dr. Walls (and your amazing team!). I am now a patient of Dr. Stacy Shutz in dermatology and this review reflects how I feel about her and about the office visits to this location. I have been treated with utmost respect on both occasions. The first time it did seem like I spent a great deal of time filling out paper work - though everything is actually done on an ipad. This time, I was able to do all the sign in work online before arriving at the office and that seemed to speed things up to a remarkable degree. I no sooner sat down after announcing my presence than there I was being called back to the exam room. Impressive in a room filled with folks waiting to be seen. The office site is large and very clean. There are tons of advertising materials everywhere but no one tried to sell me anything. This is my first go around with pre-cancerous spots and with all things dermatology. Dr. Shutz took time to explain what the different terminologies meant and what treatment would be best. When I expressed a concern about disfigurement that might result from treatment of the place on my face, she took me through exactly what would happen and what my face would look like during the healing process. I really appreciated her taking time to be thorough in this and not making me feel like an dummy or an annoyance. Their ENT, "Dr." Daniel Sleve botched a simple surgery on my nasal inferior turbinates by taking so much tissue he ruined their function permanently. I now have been diagnosed with the 100% surgically created condition called Empty Nose Syndrome. As a company, they have decided to throw me to the curb instead of doing the right thing and hold their doctor accountable. They know the increased malpractice insurance rates and damaged community image would be a consequence so they have instead chosen to keep my money and leave me to cope with what they've done to me by myself. After a billing misunderstanding which left me charged surprisingly, I called to clarify what had occured. Rather than being met with understanding or empathy, I was berated like a child, interrupted, and scoffed at repeatedly for questioning their decision, asking if the charge could be reversed, and explaining that I have an open insurance dispute processing that impacts this bill specifically. I just wanted the opportunity to have my dispute finalized so whatever I am charged is my actual responsibility. I don't think any family should be blindsided overnight with authorizations as a standard practice and it is not ridiculous to expect some kind of notice. Just a warning to current and prosepective patients, if you ever need the care and understanding you would expect from a doctors office during billing concerns, you won't find it here. And if this is the undercurrent that infoms their business decisions, I would also question their medical decisions. (As a side note, if there is suddenly a barrage of positive reviews immediately after mine then that also tells you what you need to know about how they respond to feedback.)

The issue is the contacting them, because there simply is no contacting them. They've implemented a new AI, it does not work and in the past 2 hours I've gotten nowhere and wasn't able to speak to anyone, and now I am not sure if I will be able to get my necessary meds. The front desk staff was extremely disorganized and neglected their duties, severely impacting my health (again issues with getting meds and reffreals out to me/my pharmacy/other Doctor's offices), but this is far worse. I have choosen to take my care elsewhere, I feel very failed. They can not even put a real person on the phone. If you can get in the care is good, but it's impossible to access.
