It is a rare thing in this day an age when you deal with people that actually care about you "the customer". That said, I was also pleasantly surprised to hear the same great things repeated over and over again by the many others working on their boats and the live aboard people within the marina. There is a large covered area to keep out of the sun and plenty of shade from large trees. Drive, kayak or boat over for a fun, relaxing time. Well behaved, leashed dogs are allowed. There is a small sandy beach section where young children love accessing and playing in the water. Wednesdays afternoons offer a good time with either bingo, karaoke or painting fun. They used to really have a nice set up for people that joined the marina but now it's just a restaurant and the slip holders are an after thought. Management has really gone down hill with the care they used to provide. Prices go up, there's never enough parking and the bathrooms are a joke. I'd recommend any other marina in the area over this one. Just look at the reviews. All of them are for a pathetic restaurant next door but are under the marinas name. Markley's has everything you need - bathrooms, carts to haul your gear, dry-dock facilities and is great for the sailing family. Dogs are welcome - but if the poop, you need to scoop! We have been long time slip holders here and are friends with a select few of the regulars here…read more The new owner Tom has been making cosmetic up dates here at the expensive of the slip holders. The live a boards in this Marina causes problems because they believe they have the authority to police the marina. Tom has raised the slips every year he has owned this Marina and if a slip holder asks why Tom becomes defensive and yells. However the docks and piers still need repairs and his main concerns are new bathrooms which are not cleaned or stocked on a regular basis. Tom is in for a surprise when he finds out how many of his long time slip holders are looking for a "new marina to call home"
