[[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff do not know how to speak to people professionally[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], they always have you wait 1-2 hrs for your optometrist appointment regardless of your appointment time, and they messed up my husbands glasses prescription multiple times. We ended up just keeping the glasses that he can't use because it became too much of a hassle to deal with them. First they ordered in his glasses frames and they lost the lenses. Then they ordered in the lenses but gave away the frames to someone else. They ordered in the frames again and finally everything was in the store but the prescription on the lenses was wrong. They reordered the lenses and they were still wrong even after doing another eye exam. So that was a waste of over $200 because we just refuse to keep fighting with them. I never write reviews but this place was terrible. We waited for hours only to get a prescription that had my eye corrections backwards!! They also took a faulty picture and told me that I had weird black stuff in my eyes and should spend more money to make sure it was nothing. They did more tests and sent them to the doctor and apparently it was a faulty picture and still made me pay for the extra pictures that they took incorrectly. read more

Absolutely Horrible Experience - Avoid Stanton Optical at All Costs If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at an optical office. To start, there's no physical optometrist on site - all exams are done virtually, which might sound modern but turned out to be a disaster. My first prescription only included one eye (how does that even happen?). I had to go back for a second exam, and somehow, they messed it up again - still only one eye was corrected. Instead of doing things right, they just combined the two bad prescriptions and ordered glasses anyway. When the glasses arrived, I put them on and immediately felt nauseous - blurry vision, dizziness, and headaches. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told the front desk, and the response was literally, "Just wear them, your eyes will adjust." Spoiler alert: they didn't.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a week of migraines, I had to return yet again for another eye exam, and guess what? That prescription was completely different from the first two. How is that even possible? Even after the new glasses came in, they were STILL incorrect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Let's talk about the staff. It's mostly a bunch of young girls glued to their phones, sipping coffee, clearly not trained or concerned with customer service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]To top it all off, they initially denied my insurance, saying they couldn't find it online. They didn't even try calling the insurance provider until I told them to - and surprise - my insurance was valid all along.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When it came time to pay, the guy at the register tried to charge me DOUBLE the correct amount. I literally had to write out the actual prices myself and correct him so he wouldn't overcharge me. This place is a complete circus. Incompetent staff, inaccurate exams, and absolutely no regard for customer care or basic professionalism. I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT go to Stanton Optical. Edit: Owner says prescriptions are Reviewed and signed by a licensed doctor, which is extremely concerning that a "licensed doctor" would sign not one but two prescriptions that only had one eye listed for a two eye prescription.. The worst Stanton Optical. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is a rip off. The only good experience we had was the exam was done on time. I don't believe it was a thorough exam. It was a virtual exam that lasted 5-10 minutes. I have never had an eye exam that was so quick. I got my trial contacts to try and ordered the contacts. They said they had to order my husband's trials. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called two days later to let them know I could not read with the contacts and the young lady said they would order some different ones and she would call when the trials were in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if my husband's trials were in and she said not yet and they would call when they were.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called 6 days later to ask if our trials were in. The man on the phone said my order would be in in about a month or so. I asked why they kept the order if I can't read with them and again asked about the new trials. He didn't see an order for the new trials and patched me through to the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked the young lady on the phone about my new trials, and she didn't know what I was talking about. She asked that I call 30 minutes later to talk to someone else. Wouldn't it make more sense for the someone else to call me?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if there was a direct line to their store and was told no.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have never had a problem like this at an eye doctor office. If I had read the reviews before going here, I would have not gone. How can a place be so incompetent? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the first call was 20 minutes long and the second call was over that as the call center could not get anyone on the line at the store. After 35 minutes they were able to patch me through.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked if my husband's trials were in and she informed that they never ordered them. I then asked about mine. They didn't order those either. She claimed the eye doctor had not signed off on them. I requested a refund for the contacts that they ordered that I cannot read with, which they did provide, but refused to refund the exam fees. False advertisement is what makes the most sense to me. Out of the 1000 pairs of glasses they have, only about 5 of those are part of their 2 for 79 deal. Rest are up to 300 easily. That's not even including all the anti glare, or whatever they try to sell you on, whether it be night friendly or blue light blocking, now you're glasses cost upwards of 1000 dollars. read more

Worst business I've ever encountered. There's no doctor on site. My first exam stated I had a stigma (never have before - I'm 36) and I couldn't see with their prescription so we did another exam and got a different result; still couldn't see with their results. I saw a male and a female "doctor" via telecom but the same "doctor" signed both prescriptions. When I asked how a male and female have the same doctor's signature, the employee on site informed me you don't actually see a doctor during their exams. When I returned to Stanton with an accurate prescription from Dr. Cook at Vision Health Specialties to fill my glasses with, they missed the center of my eye (which I had to go to another doctor to explain since nobody at Stanton knew why I couldn't see with the VHS prescription). Just know nobody over 25 works there so don't expect an adult resolution to any conflict. read more

I Brough my daughter to get an eye exam and glasses. The staff was amazing! Victoria, the manager made sure that we were in and out. She made our experience a great one! When I had my prescription filled, they broke my frames and tried to give them to me broken. Finally got them fixed. Before I'd had my glasses a year, the protective coating started coming off and now I can barely see through the lenses. Had a pair from Walmart for 10 years with no problems. Will not go back to Stanton because of poor quality. read more

Got a eye exam done for glasses and contacts. Would not change the contact name on the prescription to the brand I wanted and only put the ones they carry. Overcharged for the eye exam and miraculously went from a $20 copay to a $75 visit. Have been waiting for weeks trying to get the prescription fixed and finally giving up and having to go through another doctor. Refused to change anything and refused to give a prescription card without a brand on it. When asked about the brands they would only give the brands they carried. Horrible customer service and just to get to the store have to call into basically a call hotline. read more

WORST!!!!!! customer service ever. If I could give zero stars I would. I walked into Stanton Optical on Loop 250 at 5:00 pm today (6/1/21) and it was COMPLETELY customer free. Neither one of the G.I.R.L.S sitting down near the back of the store could bother to get off their phones or even get up to greet me. I asked about the $59.00 dollar offer they had advertised. One GIRL asked me if I had a prescription and I said yes. She asked "with you?" And of course I stated "no I don't carry it around." She told me to look around and instantly returned back to her phone. After a few minutes of looking around I asked "why am I looking around?" The same GIRL answered so you can find some frames you like. I still was NEVER informed of the $59.00 advertisement as I originally inquired about. And yes they still just sat there playing on their phones. So I told them both since they can't even get off their phones long enough to help a potential customers I'd be leaving. Dear manager if one of those GIRLS aren't your manager you may want to reconsider their employment or take their damn phones away. If they treat all people the way I was treated or lack of I should say you're going to end up losing your business...sadly. read more
