Placed a print & copy order for pickup the day before and we got there the next morning when they first opened- which was 10am (very late for a staples IMO). The woman at the counter was annoyed that so many people were there and made a comment that was along the lines of "why does everyone have to get here as soon as we open?" When we asked about the tax exempt form she was once again annoyed with us and proceeded to tell us she didn't have any forms and we had to go up front to do that. She tried to continue to complete the purchase after that and we said again, we are tax exempt. An eye roll later she found a form in 2 seconds and completed it in 10 seconds. Anything and everything we asked, it annoyed her and we (the customer) were the inconvenience. Will NEVER do another print & copy job here again. read more

This Staples is fine! It's very clean, and the staff seem quite friendly! However, this store to me seemed quite limited! Quite some empty shelves, and the store's signs around the store felt very like being in a run down place that looked like it was about to close. The store definitely has a lot of cool notebooks, and definitely good office supplies. It is pricier than other stores, as this store charges $20 or more for notebooks, or anything that's pretty useful. Overall, though good store but limited supply. read more

I'm gonna say that they have the worst and uneducated staff that I encountered. To think that they are working and dealing with a customers, but the way they treated me is really awful!!! I am picking up a print and copy order today and there's a staff there named "MELODY" whom i speak with about the order. She thought that I'm ready to pay for the order so she scanned it but I told her that I need to get a cartridge for my printer first. so she cancelled it and roll her eyes like she's upset. So i went to the counter to ask for the cartridge and they said that I need to pick up first the print and copy order and pay it to the counter. So I go back to her "MELODY" and asked for the print and copy order. I place my hand that i'm gonna take the order but she just throw me the paper copy. That moment, I really lose my patience! I saw how she talked to the other people and she's very nice to them, but to me, she treated me badly! i don't remember that i did anything wrong to her and the so called "Store Manager, Larry" didn't do anything fix the problem. I've had a few issues at this Staples as far as the copy center messing up orders. They're nice people, but don't always get everything done correctly. Other than that, they're a typical Staples. They have what I need office supply wise, and have decent prices. They're not always the cheapest, but are usually in the ballpark. Sometimes, while walking around the aisles, I feel like I'm looking for an employee to help me out and there's nobody to be found, or too few and they're helping other people with other customers waiting to be helped. read more

I went to the Marlboro, NJ store this afternoon to get a few copies of my home survey; some required reduction of the original size to 11×8 1/2 size paper. Tia, the copy department employee, was extremely helpful and ran the reduction a few times to ensure a proportional copy. She is competent and professional. I would go there for all my copying/printing needs. read more

Have had various intermittent psychotic personality problems with the management and staff of this store nd it's lately gone steadily downhill but yesterday the copy center simply became your worst nightmare. As an example, they has previously failed to correctly write down the ZIP code on a package I sent and which was typed for them to read. Thank the US Postal Service for correcting using the name of the party party receiving the package. Yesterday I went in to get 3 copies of two 6- page packages. This was three sets of 50-60 page stroke victim medical records and heart attack victim's medical records each for review by doctors. So yes, it was VERY important. The young man behind the counter who I have seen months before continued to display an I'm- doing-you-a-favor-to-fit-you-into-my-busy-schedule attitude and then arrogance when being incompetent,. He immediately screwed up the copies so that the copies had pages the original document didn't. Then he kept asking to nevertheless recopy the original set - until it was necessary to firmly tell him he "didn't get it" and the facts were explained to him again. He then stated he "didnt understand what happened".............. A retired doctor who was with me and I subsequently went through the document packages and found that actually a dozen pages were missing or duplicated in either the copies and the originals. I further note in first trying to fix this, the guy behind the counter had thrown out pages he deemed to be extra pages into a trash can with a locked lid and we were therefore subsequently told we could not check them so we don't know whether we actually got all the originals (and their copies) or not. Great! As further backgound when I called the assistant manager about 8 months ago, instead of helping solve a problem he was rude, arrogant, and combative. If you want anything, go to the older, thin, senior day manager if you are desperate enough to go in here ever again. Try anything else. Oh, and don't expect your calls to be answered. The entire time I was there the overhead speakers were repeatedly blasting that there were "calls waiting for the copy center". Good luck as you're going to need it. I went in early today before the guy behind the counter's shift and the woman who helped me with a package (and was quite efficient) told me because she saw the incident yesterday that the guy woudn't be in until 4PM so he'll be there to "help" all of you every weekday starting at 4PM as I understood it..... read more

So appreciate the printing service department. They went way above and beyond to help me print my sister's baby shower invitations. They knew what I was looking for in the way I needed it printed. And when I picked up my order, the invitation came out even better than I expected. The image that I gave them turned out not to be the best, but they made it the best!! Worst customer service EVER. You would think that with another Staples just around the corner the manager would be nice enough to want you as a customer ... nope, not here. I noticed a coupon in the flyer for a product that is less then popular, yet for a right price would be useful to some. After getting a bit of a rude response regarding coupon's terms and conditions I proceeded to obtain 3 coupons (multiples were allowed, as was rudely confirmed by the manager). However, once that same manager observed me taking three, now ruined, flyers and putting them away, he went off on me in front of the whole crowd of people to tell me that "in all fairness" I should not be taking and ruining ALL of the flyers. Apparently to be a manager you don't need much of a counting skill to see that three flyers out of the stack of about 100 isn't "all". He then proceeded to put back the destroyed flyers back in the stack for others to use ??? I, personally, hate when I pick up a flyer with all of the coupons missing, so I figured I was doing a service by removing a no longer useful flyer out of the stack - guess I was wrong. Not to mention that the store had another stack of 100 more of these flyers and the sale is over in one day - yep, real need to preserve those. Needless to say, with 3 more Staples within 5 mile vicinity I will be taking my business elsewhere. Suggestion for Staples Corporates, customer skills of your managers may be a little more important to retain business then their knowledge of how to order products and write invoices. read more

Called the store to find out how much it would cost to fax with a confirmation. I waited about 4 minutes then a man got on the phone to tell me he did not know but, he would connect me to someone from the printing dept. I continued to hold for 3 more minutes only to be rudely hung up on as the phone was slammed rather hard. I will go out of my way NOT to give this store my business. There prices are too high on everything and their rewards card is absolutely useless. read more

This Staples has the worst customer service ever and if it was possible to put no stars I would have chosen that option. my office, which spends over $5,000 a month at a minimum has been treated so poorly by this staples, and it is unfortunate that it is the only local staples, now we decided to go up more on route 9 for the Freehold location. I asked the copy and print lady to make me many copies of papers a few days ago, and they are still yet to call me and keep putting me on hold when I call. The cashier looks miserable and made me feel horrible for taking up too much of his time on my $1,000 visit to them. its just tiring dealing with miserable employees who have no desire to help anyone and when they do they make you feel degraded. very disappointed. very unorganized and horrible customer service. shame on you guys! read more
