I had a project of post cards done there around oct 2nd , was told I would recieve a email in a couple days as when to pick up an was NEVER contacted by anyone , I called twice an couldn't get through, I called again on the 4th of November at 11.55am only to get a rude asst mgr named Sara that took NO accountability for this delay an no contact, instead she was loud, interruptive an could care less, I explained to her as a asst mgr she should be more compassionate when a customer is awaiting a project which were business post cards, blabbing blabbing an more blabbing from her an still no accountability an this was all done on the phone at there middletown ny store..I will never shop that store again ,It appears all u have to do is have a pulse an you get a promotion at Staples..Terrible service read more

Staples is a chain that sells from office supplies, computers, business furniture to food. Yes, non -perishables. Their aisles are pretty much the same in all the branches. The staff always looks disinterested and distant. I feel the prices, especially on office supplies, are greatly inflated. They push one to buy large packs of items. At this particular time I only needed one of something. Hence, sale lost. Here's a noticeable example: A ream (500sheets) of plain white printing paper $6.99. In COSTCO 800 sheets for $5.99 and the grade is 24(heavy duty) Maybe they feel they're the King of the Hill, in that the deal with OfficeMax/depot fell through. Restrooms look like roadside 1960's stands. Oh well I hope you do better here. Watch your prices. read more

Copy and Print so disappointing. Ordered on line. Did not receive email notification that order was ready. Went to the store to find that they had printed ONE side of a TWO sided job. Waited 45 minutes for them to reprint the whole order. Sloppy and rude. Go elsewhere. read more

These guys (and gals) have been fantastic and I constantly drive out of my way to go to this particular Staples. Is is a VERY busy store usually but so far, the workers have always been friendly and extremely helpful, most notably in the Copy & Print where I am usually in a rush to get something done that I've left for the last minute. If I have one critique, it is that they need more help during the busy times as there is usually a little bit of a wait. But on the flip side, they have always greeted me with a smile and I've seen some incredible multitasking lol. read more

I recently bought a new laptop from the Staples in Middletown, NJ. I was immediately approached by a customer service associate named Matt who was extremely knowledgeable about computers. He was able to answer all my questions and make recommendations. I purchased the laptop and gave them my old laptop, which wasn't working well, to transfer the data. They were able to get the data to transfer even with my barely functioning old laptop. Their prices were reasonable. They explained everything thoroughly and didn't skimp on any aspect of setting up my new laptop. I even worked with two different managers as part of the process who were also great. Michael assisted me when picking up my laptop and was able to go above and beyond to save all my internet favorites and outlook files. I was more than satisfied with my experience at this Staples location and would recommend it to anyone. read more

I purchased an expensive keyboard on 12/27 and came home and it worked. After 3 days the box went to recycling. After 8 days the keyboard stopped working. I tried new batteries, reinstalling drivers and rebooting computer and moving the USB receiver to another slot. Nothing worked. So I took the receipt which had been emailed and the keyboard and mouse back and the extremely rude manager said it could not be returned because he couldn't get credit for it without the box. He also said the mouse was scratched on the bottom - which it wasn't - to imply I was returning an old mouse. I offered to get the exact same one and leave the box but he said no the serial numbers wouldn't match so he wouldn't get credit. Sorry but this is awful service and they have forever lost a customer to Amazon. I hate to see brick and mortar stores go out of business but this is an example of why it happens. Always a mess here, don't know how they stay in business. Lots of problems over the years, but my latest comedy was 2 weeks ago...I roll in to make just 7 copies "fast". The copy machine takes my credit card information, and on the 3rd copy...the machine goes black. Store Help? No, you won't ever find any employees to help in this store. So now, I have to "camp out" at this machine...because who knows who (and when) somebody will show-up and just keep making copies "on my dime" (since the last thing this copy machine saw, before it died, was my credit card). And, I mean literally camped-out...I found a chair and pulled it over and sat by the machine. Finally, I flagged-down a fleeing store associate...(looked like she was running away from another customer but ran into me, lol)...told her my quandary, asked her to reset the copy machine. "Just switch to another machine" she says. Then, I explain the "stolen" credit card scenario (she was unsympathetic). After begging her, she finally canceled-out my card. After using 3 different machines (for just 7 copies), I spent over a half hour...and left with 3 receipts, was charged for 10 copies...and paid extra because all the machines had heavy "card stock" and not regular copy paper. The card stock was like plywood...I thought about getting a cart, for 7 copies, lol. I use the same copy machines at my work, I know how to use them. That made one of us. read more

The copy techs have been more attentive with asking if you need help at the copy machines. I hope they keep it up. The cashiers have been nice at checkout and I always look for friendliness. Our ship to store order was not available by the date stated, and they apologized for the inconvenience. read more
