The people here are great. But this location is way understaffed. The store needs major attention, clean up, stocking, etc.

Once again disappointed. The shelves continue to be unstocked. Came in looking to get ink cartridges. They never have them on the shelf as they are HIGH THEFT ITEMS and are kept in the back. Spoke to unhelpful store management person, who said they didn't do that anymore and that they got a truck and didn't have time to put it on shelves, I could order it online and have it delivered or come back latter and IF THEY HAD TIME to put the truck out then maybe I could purchase it. For anyone looking for a quick supply run, spend the time going to another location. This one is not focused on customer service or its customers or for that matter growing its sales or business. read more

The Amazon return app is down at this store. The clerk said it had been down for 15 minutes and he had no idea when it would be up. Another customer said it was also down yesterday. The clerk said he was too busy to report it but there were only 2 custom the store and we were both there for Amazon returns. read more

I have to say I was going to give the store a 5. My first encounter the young lady was amazing so we returned. However, we encountered a young lady who claimed to be a manager who was almost a nightmare. She said she was overwhelmed the day we came in so she could not finish. However, she assured us our prints would be ready the next day. I was hesitant to prepay her because she kept going back and forth on if she could do the job. But we had a client waiting on prints and this is Staples. We called the store we were transferred to no answer. We drove to the store the next day. She gave my husband all the reasons she could not. I went in and she was smirking when I asked for the manager and pointed to herself. I said your manager and I talked to her manager Hayden and he tried to get the artist's signature in and the full painting. He was so professional. I was so upset at her non-caring and non-chalant attitude but when I say this young man deserves a raise and a promotion he was an Angel. He really came through and made it right. May God bless you and keep you in position and remove people who don't want to work and be professional. This is a business and we run 2, and as a Mom of 8 I don't have time to deal with foolishness and she was just pure foolishness and not serious about her job. I ordered a banner online back in June, hoping it would be ready for our Womens Day program which was scheduled for June 30. I normally get emails telling me when its complete. This time I didnt receive an email saying it was ready. As it got closer and closer to our date I still hadnt received an email, so I go online to my account and I saw that the banner was "processing". I didnt think anything else about it. Our Womens Day program got post poned to August 25 because the speaker had death in the family. So I called Staples the 2nd week in July and spoke with the manager which was very polite and told him about the banner not being ready so he checked and said that it had just came in, I asked him why was it still saying "processing" I havent received an email stating that it was ready for pick up he stated that he didnt know, but I could pick it up anytime. I told the managaer ok, well everything worked itself out (so I thought) because our program got post-poned until the end of August I had time to pick it up. Before I realized it two weeks had passed a RUDE girl calls my phone doesnt say hey how are you, my name is... she just says "when are you coming to pick up the banner? its been here over 30 days? I said wait a minute what. I ordered the banner over 30 days ago, but it hasnt been ready for 30 days, dismissing what I said she asks again, when are you coming to get it? I didnt like her attitude, nor her tone so I asked to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold for about 2-3 minutes came back and said he was busy, either come up there, or call back in 30 min. I asked what her name was and she slam the down down in my ear. I called back until I got someone, a man answered the phone I asked his name, and did he have a few minutes to hear what I had to say, he said yes I do and he listened to me, I explained what happened how rude this girl was to me and that she will cause the store to lose customers I always purchase banner's cards, etc from there and I dont appreciate the nasty customer service, come to find out he was the manager and he said he remembers speaking to me two weeks prior about the banner, he said maam, I apologize dont worry about it I got it from here pick it up when your ready. I showed up to staples sooner than they thought and the rude girl I spoke with was the same one who checked me out, how do I know? because when I told her I was picking up a banner, there she went again... so you decided you dont want it? what are you talking about Im here to pick it up. I told her I spoke with the manager and we got this straightnened out and I told him about the rude girl who hung up on me, she says oh im so sorry, I said dont worry about it if it wasnt you... it was definately her. Didn't catch her name but the young woman in the printing department was just crushin it! In the time I was in there I saw her handle a dozen customers efficiently and without breaking a sweat. One guy was extra rude. I wouldn't have been able to help myself, but she didn't waste her time taking it personally. She just helped him and kept moving. Give her a raise! Very impressed. I stopped in the Faith Rd, Salisbury, NC Staples to purchase HP 67 black toner. I had a $10 coupon which I tried to use on my previous purchase but it was on sale so I couldn't use it. Today, the cashier told me I couldn't use it even though there was no expiration date. I have been living in the area since 2011 and have purchased computers, printers, toner/inkjet cartridges, office supplies, etc. Since Staples does not stand by its word, I will not ever shop at Staples again. Placed an order for two 24'' x 36'' posters online. Got a call that the images didn't go through, which was odd because they still showed on the online order. I replaced the order at 6 PM and sent an email to cancel the previous order, which they had left me a voicemail to do. The items should have been ready by 2 PM the next day. I arrived at 7 PM the next day in a rush to pick up my items, only to find out they hadn't even opened the order. The employee let me know that they had a manager who didn't know what they were doing and neither did the previous shift employee. Ummm....well...I appreciate hearing the dysfunction, but the fact of the matter is that I couldn't wait. I cancelled the dinner I had planned and 45 minutes later, finally left with the two posters when it wasn't busy. Sigh. read more

Unless my English language is getting worse by the minute, I thought when I said no I mean "NO". And what part of " NO" do you not understand? This all started just the other day when I visited the Staples in nearby Salisbury NC. My printer had basically bit the dust so it was time to get a new one. Since Yelp as far as I know does not have product reports on printers I went to Consumer Report I have had pretty good luck using them from time to time they tell how good a " What ever " is and how much it costs, it seems that in many cases you do not have to pay top dollar to get good quality. Ok your basic printer I am not publishing a book nor am I trying to forge dollar bills. Just a basic 3 in 1 OK got it HP they even had a $50.00 instant rebate bringing it lower than the Walmart ( Which I would never go back in anyway after my last experience) So off we go to Staples get the printer one of the associates that was working that department asked me if I wanted the service contract I said no very politely .Even the BBB will tell you they are a rip off so he says again "the service contract is only $$" I said No again I was getting very annoyed and all the while thinking they must get a huge bonus for selling these. I walked to the next aisle looking at the price on the cartridges I turn around and here is Mr " Do you know what the Hel.. No means?" And you got it he says again " you would be better off getting the service contract" I looked at him and( I really am a patient person ) said " did you not hear me?" he said nothing so I turned the volume up in my voice about 3 notches to make sure that customers nearby could hear and said " Did you not hear me tell you that I did not want your service contract 4 times ago when you asked me?" He said very quietly and walked away " I guess not" So now my new printer works great without the Service contract that he was so insistent on so he could get his bonus on... read more

Surprised by the fact that Salisbury has such a nice Staples. Typically, in smaller towns, you'll find limited selections of certain items...not at this location. They pretty much have everything you need and a good selection to boot...check out their tablet accessories, they've got quite a few. read more

It was an experience. Perhaps he was a fill in. Obviously he didn't know his new software. I asked what format is required to make this easy. Yes, jpeg is fine. Color business cards, printed better than I can do at home. That was the goal. I am familiar with my page layout software and I was assured that they could gang them for output with no problem. I finally got what I came for but oh my, was it a struggle. He didn't know that positioning could be adjusted by typing in directly. He only knew the jog buttons that were set too coarsely. I finally got behind the counter to play around while he waited on another customer that needed lamination that he apparently knew how to do and we didn't know just how much longer it was going to take to get the results I was looking for. It was easy once I understood the problem. No discount though. So If you have an original idea you could try printing at Staples store #0881, but you may have to help them set up their equipment.
